What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I'd be interested in hearing what you find on undercoating solutions. This will be my first winter in a salt state in almost 20 years and am nervous about my cars. Could you PM with what you settle on?

Personally i feel in Denver it's not as much of an issue, because the humidity is so low you can just rinse it off here and things dry out. Most folks go through the car wash and you likely won't see anything like you would in the rust belt or northeast.

I'm always surprised how much better my undercarriage looks compared to those guys given the mag chloride they spray here. Watch the sides and back of your truck though, that requires solid cleaning, I use clay bars and that iron-x stuff to keep it out of the paint.

I can attest to what [MENTION=91899]Jhalko[/MENTION] said. I lived in CO for many years and not once did I ever prep my vehicle for winters. My 4th Gen I bought in CO and drove in CO many years was in great condition in regards to rust. All you have to do is be mindful of it and run it through a car wash.

Precision Toyota of Tucson

Had the airbag recall done on Thursday at PreToy here in town. I'm soooo glad I don't take my truck to the dealer on a regular basis, or at all. Took them over 5 hours to pull the entire dash(or so they said) and she even had it there at 7am. Multiple dash and garnish clips weren't inplace or fully seated, 3 of the inside sil clips weren't pushed in all the way and worst the battery connections were snug at best. I'm scared to dig deeper, thank goodness I tripped the breaker for my accessories, all kinda of buttons were pushed.
Only upside, they changed the key fob to roll all windows down(but rear hatch) for free, wouldn't turn off the seatbelt chime

And only comment on the paperwork was do not reccomend aftermarket floor mats, haha I was hoping for more

Got my Ellis precision knob set installed today. Love them and I'd definitely recommend.

I also got my OEM Audio plus 6x9s. It makes the sound more complete. I'd buy this set again.

A "one banana" project, but had fun with the boy. My own Dad gave me this plate many years back, and it has gone on all my vehicles since.



And my son got to be help with the fasteners, and hand me tools as I needed them.

Wired up a Cole Hersee smart battery isolator. Thing works like a charm and charges charges the aux once the main battery is topped off. The only thing I didn't have time to wire was the Boost switch and indicator light.

Thanks to both of you, but I just moved from Denver to Ohio which is why I'm nervous. Never had an issue in CO with the mag, it's the salt that scares me.

I'll offer my condolences given that move, yuck! I wouldn't want to change my location either... haha.

hammered my pinch welds flat and trimmed some more in the front.

295s w/ spacers without rubbing, full turn in D and R. Offroad may be another story, but it can't be any worse than some of the rubbing I had on my last trip (wasn't all that bad).

Bought it! (Friday, actually.) It's a 2010 Limited, mostly stock. Looks like the only mods it's had are Black Rhino 20x9 wheels (with new 275/55/20s on them) and the X-REAS system has been replaced with Bilstein 4600s. Probably going to upgrade to the 5100s and lift the front a little bit to level it out. It's going to be my DD and only see a bit of occasional dirt road mileage. I'll also be using it to haul band equipment to and from gigs. No serious off-roading planned.

Had a chance to take it on a shakedown trip around the local mountain this afternoon. 18 miles of rocky rutted roads, and about the same amount of freeway and winding mountain roads, too. Ran and drove great, but I've decided I'll definitely be adding the 5100s in the near future.

Yeah it's mounted to the stock rails using the SX crossbars. I don't have any other pics of it close up at the moment, but this link shows the same set up pretty well.
