Took the little missus on a tour of some of the local mountains on Saturday. No real 4-wheeling action shots (although I did get to do a little on some side trails), but here are a few pics from the Jemez mountains in central New Mexico.

My seals were doing the same exact thing...luckily I caught it where the seals still went back in and I threw a piece of electrical tape on them to hold them in place.

Now that my 4Runner is set up to go about anywhere, we searched the back roads of the Colorado Rockies for scenic water falls. Found a few using Glenwood Springs, CO as a home base for the weekend.

I really need to take a trip out there.

Oil changed friday night

Saturday took my buddy on a couple trails that used to be fun now they are all plowed so the rain washes are gone. First time taking the heep in the dirt spent the last 4 months fixing issues with it and having it painted quicksand. Lost a bolt on my light bar so that was rattling around the entire time. Fixed it when I got home which requires removing the bumper.

Later that night me and my girlfriend randomly decided to go shooting since she hasn't shot the new glock build. Hung out in the hills for awhile killed off about 200 rounds watched the lightning storm that was rolling in.

Sunday smoked a brisket hung out watched season 3 of narcos got rained on.

Monday took my buddy out wheeling again did the run up to rowher flats my girlfriend and our other buddy went. We talked him into doing the rock pit at the top. Major props second time ever being in the dirt first time on rocks and his jeep is a manual. Made it thru unscathed with us spotting and stalled 3 or 4 times lol

Got home and light bar is flopping around again.... this time the otherside's mount sheered at the bend. Been meaning to fab a new mount to double stack a light bar and remove the grill guess now I don't have a reason not to.

We went and did some kayak fishing at several different places around/in Lubbock and then did some urban adventuring, great day with friends overall!

Added 2' lift. Toytech Trd Pro front spaciers and wheelers T13 rear springs. Really happy on the way it turned out with a level stance. Also had installed Toyota Red caliber covers and Color match body side molding. This should hold me over on the upgrades until Christmas.

Very sturdy. It's just like the OEM cargo liner, only in separate pieces.

That old watermill is awesome. It looks a LOT like the one in Marble. I had a trip planned for that one a few weeks ago but my truck was still in the shop from all the hail.

Woke up to a ton of ash on the rig. Awful conditions in Portland today and left it for a business trip to Seattle.

Turns out I'm on an evacuation level 1 notice. Praying for the best outcome. Dogs and girlfriend are out of the house already as she works 12 hours and we don't want to chance something happening while she's at work and I'm out of town.

Went to Monache Meadows in the Inyo National Forest for Labor Day. We stayed 3 days, 2 nights. We were supposed to have 3 rigs, 5 people and 2 dogs, but the 2nd gen Tacoma had some problems (-2), then our filmer threw out his back on a job (-1).

Made the trip up to Laurel Lakes this Labor Day weekend which is a 9.9 mile trip with 3,000 ft of elevation gain. Fairly crowded on the way up, a lot of people were turning around due to the single lane. Patience pays off.

Conditions were perfect and the views did not disappoint!

You think it was crowded because it was a holiday weekend? And on a scale of 1-10 how bad is this trail? Everything I see it looks super easy compared to other stuff I've done, except I'm paranoid after seeing the picture of a 4th gen that rolled and killed the driver on one of the switchbacks. I just can't get a good read on what to expect from reading stuff online besides multi point turns on the switchbacks.

We might hit it this weekend either solo or with my buddy with his XJ.
