Murphy's Dome & Remote Start

Took Xterra the 4Runner up to Murphy's Dome, just north of Fairbanks, and climbed this sweet hill haha. Took a couple little trails around the areas as well. It's one of the highest points in the area. Some beautiful scenery.

Then installed a Compustar CM7200 system along with RPS Touch yesterday evening. Nerve-racking as hell, but I somehow didn't mess it up. Hooray! Just in time for winter! Right now the only way to remote start is via three-button-click of the OEM, which works, but is cumbersome compared to having a dedicated remote. Now I need to decide which remote to get; two way, or Drone Mobile. Decisions decisions.... :car:

Upgraded sr5 shifter to TRD shifter extra 20hp

What is up with the edge of your shifter thing? Looks like it was welded.

Brought home my wife's new 2017 T4R TRD OR, the next morning upon removal of the dealer installed license plate frame bracket, I found this.

The dealership is roughly 2.5 hours away so I had to find a quick fix.
Used the old Dremel to grind down the rough edges.
Found some leftover retaining clips, and capped off the holes.
I might color match the clips later, but this will hold my wife's OCD for now.

You can just buy a new silver trim piece. It's pretty cheap and comes painted.

That's the route I'd go. Those little plugs would bother me just as much as the damn holes.

Loaded the 4R with 9 pistols and assorted ammo early Saturday morning. Spent the weekend teaching a handgun class. Fun!

Searched for fall gold in the Colorado high country

Traveled through the areas south of Salida, CO searching for this seasons new fall gold. Found several old gold mines along the way and the golden Aspens we were looking for in numerous valley locations.
