I took mine to a local garage, they use a fluidfilm type product. Do it all for a $60 donation for kids school lunches. Been using it for several years both on my old FJ now my runner. Ive been happy with the results.

We get some harsh winters here.

I got them both several months ago. The seller isn't selling them anymore (@ragofabrication). However, they may be able to point you in the right direction. I am fairly sure that you can get them off Amazon or eBay for a decent price.

Since these are RGB - the orange isn't a single LED. So, it looks more like a jumbled rainbow. Not my cup of tea, but the red looks really good.

I did the exact same thing! It is far more useful against the seats IMHO.

read a few old threads on re-aiming the exhaust... most comments were more interested in the aesthetics of it.. very very very few confirmed whether it helped reduce fumes. My 5 yr old sits back there and this is very concerning

I can smell it from the front seat. If your kid complains of headaches you found the culprit.

Backed into my wifes trail this saturday night ripped off the silver valance with my hitch. So now it is plastidipped black and going to be reinstalled with some double stick tape hopefully or screws.

It's a version of fluid film.. Same product different label according to the mechanic. It's a little thicker than retail fluid film.
I used it on my fj for years and worked great.

From what I've seen on Fluidfilm vids on YouTube the grime layer helps protect the metal. I'm just going to spray on top of last seasons layer. I'd rather have an undercarriage that looks like crap but has solid metal underneath than a squeaky clean chassis that will drop out from underneath me in 10 years.
