Which lift did you go with?

Icon stage 1. Just drove 85 miles and its a noticeable difference on the highway. Should be able to hit the trails this afternoon if not sunday. Looking forward to that part the most.

How low does this hang off the ceiling? Does it block any of your view in the rear view mirror?

Yesterday after work I drove by a construction site. Some type of mist crap came out of the site and i noticed hard specks across the windshield. Tried spraying it off at a car wash and it got some off but not all of it. Some of the spots on the windshield seem like they will wipe off sort of easily by hand though.

I’m still in the OCD-about-everything new car phase. I don’t mind getting dirt or mud and crap on my ride at my own doing but something about other people or things getting stuff on my vehicle just rubs me the wrong way :bash:

Oh well, it won’t stay new forever :shrug:

How low does this hang off the ceiling? Does it block any of your view in the rear view mirror?

It just clips the top edge of the back window with some blankets, first aid gear, dog leashes etc in it.

Was reading some of the other comments LoL. Yeah when this stuff absorbs general road grime, dirt etc. it turns to a nice grease. For pulling down struts or something you're gonna get your forearms covered in it, general brake work or something no big deal. I get my coveralls a little blackened when doing oil changes under my vehicles but like I said - a necessary evil in these parts. We see rust in vehicles around here where there should never be, 2-3 year old new. That brine stuff on a moist winter day, streams itself into vehicle points like fine mist, settles everywhere. In the spring your vehicle is full of crystallized dust under the hood, its just wonderful stuff. You gotta combat that with annual applications like this if you want your vehicle looking decent in 5-7 years.

I've never heard about rubber seals swelling thats bizarre. I don't go to Krown, my buddy owns a TintMaster RustCheck outlet near Dixie & Highway 401. He's had one guy doing the applications for 25 years, knows how to do things properly, remove body panels to spray into doors or rear fender pockets. Drilling is rare but only where recommended by manufacturer approval for this industry. None was required for mine. I'll PM you the owners name - call him directly when making your appointment and ask anything you want - great guy. You'll be happy with their work.

That is Fluid Film, the stuff works. I spray mine every year. Have to get on it this year as I have not done it yet.

Just sprayed mine down yesterday. Do you use 1 or 2 cans. I felt like it was getting excessive after i completed the first can

Clay bar the WHOLE truck. If it's on the windshield, it's on the paint and I'm sure the majority of the truck. Clay everything including all glass then give it a good coat of wax. My personal preference is Meguiars clay and #26 yellow wax.

Well the specks are no longer my biggest concern. Had a duhhh moment today and backed into a car. Lady pulled up right to the back passenger corner of mine and I didn’t see her and gave a little bump. Very minor damage on mine, just two small dings and scratches and a small stress bend in the plastic. She wasn’t so lucky, got a nice crumple in her fender where my hitch hit it. 110% my fault, I just didn’t see her.

It’s hardly noticable damage on mine but just sucks having it on a two week old vehicle...

Live and learn I guess. Maybe it’s time to start saving for steel bumpers?
