What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I have this RAM set up for an iPad. I’m currently using six .5 inch screws
The screws are only grabbing into the carpet and not to metal
Does anyone know how big of screws I would need to hit actual metal
Is it possible and, if so, is there anything beneath that carpet that I should be wary of screwing into?
Does that make sense?

Washed her up and painted the roof rails to match the running boards. It looks SO MUCH BETTER. I just went the cheap route and spray painted since I plan on doing a Gobi or Front Runner Slimline when funds allow anyway. This satisfies me in the meantime [emoji16]

Put on new RCI skids for the tranny and transfer case. Took almost 3 hours removing the old bolts as the majority of the bolt heads were damaged by rocks.

Yesterday I did my first oil change since purchasing my 4Runner back in July. Between the skid plates, lack of practice and a run to the hardware store for a 27mm socket to open the oil filter housing it took most of the afternoon, but it's all done now.

It was also the first time I really got underneath the truck since taking it to Rausch Creek, PA back in October.

That plate was flat when I installed it. :V

Made sure these universal mounts fit the bajarack before ordering the fiamma 35.

Wanted to keep it as flush as possible as I have no room to spare pulling out of the garage with the RRT.

Had Fluid Film applied to the undercarriage

Illinois salts the hell out of the streets so I had Fluid Film applied to the underside of my truck at the local shop. Met some new folks, assisted in a ARB bumper install and am enjoying the 45 degree temps out here in Chicago.

Oh, and I test drove a Gen 5 with the Magnuson supercharger. Um, yes, I would like to have that installed someday. It's a hoot.

Finished up the interior/reverse/puddle lights LED swap with the JDM ASTAR's. Those friggin' map lights are quite the PITA, if I may say so.

It was easier (for me) to swap out the damn puddle lights! It must be my short-stubby booger-hooks because I had difficulty getting the tape around the bulb.

Watching Precision LED's YouTube video was helpful as well.

For the puddle lights I removed the mirror from the front on the driver's side to start the swap.

On the passenger side I followed [MENTION=66390]ROBSCOOL[/MENTION] suggestion and the upper back cover popped right off:

Plastidip is good and inexpensive but only lasts so long in the desert
