What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

No pics cuz it was cold and dark but this happened two days ago. I drove in very icy conditions in the mountains here. Cars and trucks piled up on each other or were straight abandoned in the middle of the road in some parts of the drive. Drove almost 50 miles in 4wd with a high speed of about 40 mph on the highway. Most of the time was way slower on the back roads, especially down hills. At times I would test out the traction control and antilock brakes. Flawless. My biggest concern was some one running into me. I pulled over multiple times and just let the maniacs go on.

Couldn't find the post you are referencing, but there was a change in 2014/2015 (?) moving the drivers info from the clock to the dash.

Perhaps you are looking at an older model?

Christmas present for the truck, replacing the crappy overpriced OEM rubber mats with some real floor liners. I'm a huge WeatherTech fan and had them in my last 2 4Runners, but I just was not a fan of the coverage that the WT's offer, or the reviews, so I went with the Huskies

I didn't bother putting the backs in yet because no one usually sits back there, but I'll get to it tomorrow or the next day. Just had to see how these bad boys fit. Very impressed with the coverage!

Even though the temps are in the single digits, and windchill is below zero, I had to wash her and get all the salt off from our trip in the snowstorms back from Detroit last week. A clean truck is a happy truck!

How much trimming to get those 285's not to rub ?

No trimming, just took off the mud flaps till the tread came down some. i still have a bit of rubbing, but not often. I almost have to try and get it to rub.

I did. I bet you could call some vendors and they will have a set in stock. I debated doing that in order to avoid the mad rush with ordering directly from SCS. Mule Expedition has had some of the limited colors in the past.

Holy cow! That's worth coming back from vacation for... Not a lot of wheels really send me, and I suppose it will depend on the truck color too, but those look really nice.

I went with the weather tech's thinking that these nearly disposable at this price.

I may try the huskies if these don't meet my expectations.

Played with the idea of this. Actually did this a little while ago, but too much modification to get it to work without throwing any lights on the dash. Decided not to go forward with it. Too bad though, it sure would've been nice :nod: I should've at least taken better pictures of it while I had it installed, haha

I'm a new 4R owner and this is likely a dumb question.... but how did you change your clock display to include the extra stats? I was a little disappointed in the display options on the gauge cluster.

Its all good. It was eliminated in, i think 15 got ride of the mpg and other info. Apparently toyota did not get a snackrifice for our info center.

Finally got the SSO sliders installed. Had them powder coated at a local shop with a fine texture. Should have more pics when I get them out off-road
