That "pickle juice" they put down drives me crazy. It doesn't come off easy and they have put it down a couple times this year when t wasn't needed (no snow forecast). Last week our roads were more white than black.

Crazy! All that salt and I never even engaged four wheel drive. A little over protective, I think.

Lost control of wheel

New 2017 Off Road Premium owner here. First time driving the car to and from work.

I was on a slight incline and the road was wet and I lost control of the wheel. Car was going left and right and the steering wheel wasn't responsive. I feel like the breaks didn't entirely engage either. I was a little spooked, so my recollection probably isn't perfect. Has this happened to anyone?

If this is driver error, man, I didn't think I was that bad!

Im interested to hear other folks chime in that have driven theirs for longer.
I've got a stock '18 and tried to get squirley in 2HI in the snow last weekend in Indianapolis and had trouble without disengaging traction control to play around. I'm coming from a '06 silverado where getting sideways was too easy.

Getting closer to completing my pull out drawer. Drawer is roughly 36.5" wide x 40" long x 3"in deep..will be completing the platform next week with any luck. Everything was built from metal and the box was sprayed with Line-X (inside and out). Sliders are 36" and rated at 500lbs.

Drove 13 hours from Northern Vermont to Maryland through the East Coast Blizzard. We took the western route (I87-88-81-83), but was still sketchy, with white-out conditions.

So it's been cold in MN...real cold. Last week I think we topped out at a whopping 0 degrees all week and it's currently -4 (which is relatively mild still).

Originally thought I'd have the dealership throw one in, but after reading threads, I decided to go with the Compustar Prime R3 (2-way) remote starter. Knew I had to get it and damn glad I did. Had them throw in the auto rear defrost for when it's below 40 degrees too.

How much water was there on the road? It sounds like what happens when you hydroplane.

I did that once in Ford Ranger on a crowded freeway. It was pouring rain hard and I hit thick water trying to change lanes. I spun 180 degrees until I was sliding backwards. Watched a little sedan squeeze by under my left mirror while I was sliding backwards and amazingly we never hit each other. After slamming against the center concrete divider I came to rest on the left inside edge of the carpool lane facing backwards. The engine stalled from racing backwards in drive. The truck started right up but I couldn't move. There was too much traffic. Cars were coming up on me in the carpool lane. Within a minute or two several drivers came to a stop in the left two lanes and I was able to turn around. A mile farther I passed 3 cars that smashed and totaled their cars probably spinning out the same way I did but with less luck. When I got to my office I was amazed to find nothing but a little chrome scraped off of both bumpers at the corners.
