Used to do bees when I was in college. Had 2 friends that moved their hives around for pollination (that's thousands of hives all over the mid west).
Keep the little ladies happy we need them!
Just installed some Michelin Defender LTX's in stock size and I have to say they are a huge improvement over the Dunflops. Before I purchased them I was hearing and reading many negatives reviews (particular ride quality and noise) with the newer version. Honestly the negative feedback could not be further from the truth. It is down right incredible how smooth and quiet these tires are. I believe them to be slightly quieter than the MS2's and they are definitely a few pounds lighter which you can feel at the pedal (as per Michelin MS2=41 pds/Defender LTX=39 in a 265/70R17). I used them in the rain and they were nothing short of amazing. Michelin has got another winner here and has made it a better driving experience...a tough tire to beat for anyone who does a lot of driving without serious offroading.

Not today, but earlier this week my wife and I took another overnight trip to Julian, CA to celebrate my birthday. This was when the big storm was moving in so there was a lot of wind and rain, but I still managed to get in some brief flights with my Mavic drone:

I went straight from the dealer to the tire shop after buying my TR4 to put those tires on. Had the previous version on my Xterra for years. Great tires, handles rain like it was dry.
I’m curious to see how they fair on the trail. From some of the videos I’ve seen of what the stock Dunlaps can handle, I’m sure the Defenders would easily best them.

Couldn't agree more. I had these on my '10 and loved them. Sadly, too expensive to swap them to the '18. The Dunlops aren't awful, but I'll watch for a DT sale and put LTXs on before next winter and sell the Dunlops used.

Prepped for the Winter 4x4 Jamboree this week in Hurricane, UT by changing out engine oil, diff fluids, and transfer case fluid. After multiple river crossings over the past 3 years, there was no “milk” in my diffs with the stock breathers. I do want to add the scuba mod to the rear though before too long. Looks like an easy mod.
Hopefully I won’t be the only Toyota at the Jamboree.
