What's the advantage of having those vs. adjusting the side mirrors more outwards so that there is no blindspot?

First photo is Red Rock. The others are Bishop in the Eastern Sierras. When i climb highballs I climb well below my limit. These are 5.9 to V2. I do all sorts of climbing from bouldering to trad. All the routes posted have a rated R or X, so I know I will break something or die if I fall. I only climb those routes if I know I will not fall.

Roof rack was delivered today, just as i'm headed out of town for the week. Hopefully i'll have time to install it this weekend. Looks great from the initial once over.
I am so on the fence with the WP rack, I am interested in your feedback. Take a bunch of pics!
I've never liked adjusting outwards because in order to adequately cover the blind spot you lose sight of your own vehicle. Losing the side of my vehicle as a point of reference makes me uncomfortable.

Went up to KY for the weekend. Did a couple hundred miles on the KAT trail with a group of friends. The snow hit us just in time for day one. It was 4 degrees when we woke up Sunday morning, but we all made it ok.
Camped in an abandoned mine on night two. Group was down a bit from the 14 on Saturday.
Stopped by Cumberland Falls. Temp was about 20 degrees.

What did I do to my T4R today? In the 5th Gen?
Added the Salex organizers to the center console. Plopped down some cash for the super bumper magnum! (should arrive Friday).
While in my T4R I joined this forum! Still loving the new car smell

New wheels and tires
I had Falken Wildpeak LT285/70R17 AT/3W tires mounted on 17x8.5 ICON Rebound wheels and installed on the car with new Gorilla lug nuts. Bought 5 wheels and tires so the spare matches and it fits under the car easily.
The tires rub in the front a lot. I can't turn very far. I'll be doing the lift this Saturday. PM me if you want to come help me with an ICON Stage 7 lift.
I bought the tires at American Tire Depot but they could not balance them on their machines. So I drove down the street to America's Tire, where they mounted and balanced them using their Hunter Road Force balancing tool. They found the high point of the wheel and tire and positioned those opposite to achieve the best balance and reduce wheel pull. Both wheel and tire are either oval or have a heavy side that must be located and optimized. They mount the tire, rotate it at high speed, find and mark the high points and then move the tire around the wheel to get the marks to line up. Then they add weights as needed to balance the tire/wheel. See the Hunter website for more info.
