It's bolted to where the lift gate strut is. Lots of CAD (cardboard aided design) went into it.

CAD is my preferred method, but I use a lot of WAG as well.

Today? Met some retired friends for breakfast and then went by the car audio place to order some Focal IS690TOY speakers for the dash & front doors and 2-ways for the rear doors and some soundproofing. They talked me out of replacing the hatch speakers. I've tried for a year to get used to the muddy sound, but it just isn't working.
And it's not even 11 a.m. yet.

The factory speakers are truly horrible.
How are the Focals sounding?
Did they use the factory tweeter mount or does the new tweeter come with one?
What areas are you having sound deadening installed?

You pay interest when it is the cheapest cost of money available to you.
Having cash sitting idle while saving for a full purchase price has a cost too.
Leasing, cash, a loan, can all have benefits depending on a particular situation, and can also have similar lifetime costs.

Appreciate the response, but I live by the philosophy of if I cannot pay cash, I cannot afford it - cars, toys, house and all. I think practicing this strategy in my early forties will allow me to have a pretty comfortable future.
I think when you pay interest it is a penalty, and when you earn interest it is a reward.
Just my .02 worth....OKAY, back to enjoying pics and adventures.

They had to order the IS690TOY. They said they'll figure out the tweeter mount. I'm getting Hushmat in the front doors.
They're putting Focal Access 6.5" in the rear doors and no mat. I tried to get better/$$ speakers in the rear and hatch, but when I told them I keep the seats down and stuff in the back most of the time they said I'd be wasting my money. We'll see.
They have 3 locations and 40 years in the business, so we'll see.

Hi Everyone,
A little over 1 month a 1500 miles on my 4Runner. I was tired of hearing my wife and daughter complain about climbing in and "falling" out so I added some N-Fab nerf bars.
The rest of the truck is pretty much a bone stock SR5 4WD.
In a few years (when the kids are out of college) I'll replace the bars with SSO sliders and add an SSO bumper, ARB lockers, some real skid plates and a mild lift.

I am considering purchasing a swag and was looking at the ARB Skydome for 2 people.
A pros/cons user’s experience report would be deeply appreciated. A picture of it folded and stored in/on the car would be very helpful.
P.S.
I am fully aware of the fact that these are monstrosities when folded.
Does yours include a built in mattress, and can you fold it with the bedding/pillows in?

I just did this a couple weeks ago too!
Cleaned out the back the best I could in 30 degree temperature (husky hair is hard to get out) and laid down the Canvas Back I got a few weeks ago. Not quite what I was expecting but it should help catch some of the hair. Up next will be to build a cheap platform to level out the back for their crates.
