I have some Jeep heritage in my family as well, so I understand (my dad and uncle have 1989 Wranglers that look very similar to yours). Don't tell anyone, but I actually like Jeep a lot...just not the new ones :laugh:

Nothing so far. The steering is quite stiff and it has some memory steering (doesn't straighten out after a turn). But that is going away after every mile.

Finally had time to take my door panel off and finish my project. Used 1/8" elastic cord and drilled a few holes so that I can put stuff in this space without it falling out. Of course I never remember to take pics during. When I do the other side I will make sure I do in case anyone else likes the idea.

KDSS lean fixed

I leveled my KDSS lean today.
I finished installing the ICON Tubular Stage 7 lift a few days ago but I had a significant KDSS lean. The whole vehicle was an inch higher on the passenger side than on the driver's side. Before the lift it was already 1/2" higher so no big surprise that it was worse after the lift. The lean was due to either a higher right rear at the coil spring or right side front coil over.
After searching for solutions and asking here I realized I could lower the compression (raise the ring to lower the lift) on the front right coil over, open the KDSS valves and let it equalize (possibly a temporary fix), add a spacer to the left rear coil spring or a combination of all 3 of these. I got a tip here to add an OME 10 mm spacer to one of the back springs. That did the trick! The two sides are within 1/4" of each other, front and back.
Tomorrow I can get the truck aligned.

Watched me aging while following slow student-driver

I believe all cars from all driving schools in my town have built-in speed limiter set to 20mph. It does not matter if the posted speed limit is 25mph or 45mph, all student drivers a driving at 20mph or less. IMH this is really bad teaching technique. You can't learn to drive when you have to drive that slow. It is like teaching people to swim but only in 1ft deep water.

But today it went to extreme. For exactly one minute and 8 seconds (recorded on my dash cam) I was following a student driver making a right turn from one street to another (it was an off-ramp, not even an intersection). Yes, it took him 1 minute to drive about 100 yards. That is the average speed less than 4mph. And because it was one lane off/on-ramp connecting two streets the only thing I could do was follow him keeping a safe distance without touching a gas pedal.
