I was surprised how much my wife liked them over the stock mirrors.

I installed the before a trip and let her drive for a while on the freeway.

She pronounced them a worthwhile upgrade even after hearing the cost...

Drove from LB to SD, spent almost 6 hours in the truck due to traffic, to pick up my new sliders from Pelfreybilt. Took them home, prepped for 2 hours and painted for 3. Washed the truck while the sliders dry overnight. And got a shiny new red shift knob from AJT designs put in and some new patches. Finishing up with heading to a brewery with a bud. Yeah, it's been a good day!

Searched; couldn't find answer:

For those using an ARB awning on your Gobi roof rack, did you go for the two quantity or three quantity set of Gobi awning mounts?

I’d go here: https://www.gziladesigns.com/collections/mods. The brackets are far better quality, I think they’re cheaper than Gobi’s, and they look better. I got two 1” brackets for my Gobi stealth and ARB 2000 awning, and couldn’t be happier with the purchase. I’m sure anyone that uses Greg’s brackets would agree. And, his customer service is far superior to Gobi’s. Gobi makes an amazing product, but their customer service is garbage.

Installed the Baja Racks Ladder on Sunday.
I didn't do it exactly like the instructions suggested. They tell you to mount a 3M tape backed aluminum plate onto the bottom bracket but that didn't make any sense. The plate just gets bent back when you try to tighten the allen screws. It really belongs flat on the inside bottom edge of the door where the allen screws can bear on it.
If the paint on the ladder looks a little different than powder coated it's because I painted it with 3 coats of Rustoleum paint for long lasting durability and rust prevention. The welds at the mounting plates had a few gaps in them so the extra paint will help prevent rust there.

After the install we went for a hike in the local mountains on the north side of Mount Lukens. The photo was taken at around 3500 feet. The peak just out of view to the left is around 5700 feet. It was cool (60 F) in the shade and warmer in the sunshine (68 F) at around 2:30 pm. Notice the grass is still dry in the middle of winter. That's because we've yet to get any rain since around December. It's going to be a dry year again here in So Cal.

Did Baja Rack recently change the design of their ladder? Your ladder looks much different from what's on their site.

How do you like that OEM Plus system? I’m happy with the sound of the stock setup but it doesn’t get any where near loud enough when driving with the windows open.

Yes really like it......"OEM Audio + 5th Gen 4Runner audio system" is thread with lots of input. I bought my own speakers and got partial kit from OEM

Changed up my OEM roof rack

Got rid of silver end caps and rails and added a second set of cross bars for now until I get the $$ together for a custom rack. Got the idea from the Rago bars that use the stock rails. I will adjust the positions if there is any wind noise.

This is perfect. When i went camping i used the camping chairs for the bottom layer because the two bars are so far apart.

I carry laser sailboat spars mostly but the bars are far apart for shorter gear. I want the Rago bars but I don’t see how i would clean under them.
