Puddle lights and mirrors

Finally got warm and dry here so I installed the last of my LEDs in the puddle lights. I also installed the RAV4 mirrors I've had laying around for the past month or so. Yes - I know - Why? Well I've used the stick-on type on my 4th gen and was not happy with them. I read about the upgrade here ( I think it was WEEE's) and decided to give them a try. I guess time will tell whether they were worth it or not.

Generic Prado 150 snorkel from eBay/Amazon. 1/4 the price, 100% of the fun.

Got rid of silver end caps and rails and added a second set of cross bars for now until I get the $$ together for a custom rack. Got the idea from the Rago bars that use the stock rails. I will adjust the positions if there is any wind noise.

Whats the protocol for getting the black side rails? Ordering a pro and for me factory rails and cross bars will work the best. I have a sweet Thule carrier that fits all of my needs currently. The full top rack will be wasted at this point.

I know I could get them powder coated, was just wondering if there was an option to get them already done

Whispbar aero cargo box

Took a 3 hour drive down to Portland to pick up a whispbar aero cargo box off of offerup. I got this thing for a steal! The gloss black finish is super sleek. I have it on oem crossbars with no interference with the shark fin antenna and rear hatch.

How bad are your front control arm and CV shaft angles? Also, what extended brake lines did you use? 5" is a lot for these trucks.

Everything actually worked out perfect .... alignment.. brake lines are all good

Brake lines are absolutely not long enough at 5" They're barely long enough at 3" so that's something you must take a look at and replace with longer ones. Frint might be ok depending on how far your drop is but rears are going to be way too short. Can you post pictures of the upper and lower control arms? What upper control arms are you running?

I’m running SPC UCAs and from what I’m told by a buddy of mine , I’m good with my brake line lines unless I’m going with the long travel set up.

Up front maybe but he's very wrong in the back. I'm at 3" in the back with Bilstein 5100 shocks. At the point the shocks bottom out, my lines are pulled about as tight as I'd ever want them to be. Tight enough that I plan on replacing them with extended lines. At 5" ride height, stock lines are dangerous, no question about it. IMO, your front driveline is a mess at 5" also and I highly doubt your CV angles are good and the shafts won't last long either. These trucks are pushing it with 3.5" up front let alone 5" Your buddy was likely trying to help but I don't think he really knows what he's looking at. What did you do up front to get 5" of lift?

Bilstein 5100s are not made for 3” of lift that’s why I upgraded to ICONs which are recommended for 3” of lift
