First foray into Plastidip...

Eventually I hope to replace the ugly silver lower bumper valance on my TRD Off Road with a hybrid bumper from SSO, CBI, or Warn, so I figured I would spend $6 and try my hand at plastic-dipping the plastic valance. This came out surprisingly well and completely improves the look of the front end in my opinion.

At 111,000 miles one of my DRL’s/signal bulbs went out. The upside is given the rci skids and having taken the air dam off I can slide right under the front and reach up and around to put a new bulb in...

Now if I can just fix the driver brake light. (It’s not the bulb)

Fixed the drivers side tail light 4-5 times last year. It won, I gave up and replaced the housings. Good luck to you though!

No difference in driving dynamics or anything like that. I hear a distinct sound when travelling at 40+, but I have a sharp ear. Not offensive at all, becomes white noise. My roof rack wind deflector is more noticeable. I haven't seen a change in performance/efficiency but it's only been a few days. Got the snorkel and breathers relocation due to all of the trails near me, can and do flood regularly. The cleaner/cooler air benefits are a secondary plus.

Stopped at a Snowpark in the Oregon Cascades, looks like a fun trail for snowmobiles. I should have waited to get a photo of a few crossing.

Took off my TRD skid, re-tapped the holes a bit deeper to avoid any future issues there. Also removed my front valence trim piece (what a pain with bumper on... arms are all scratched up) and turned it black. Love the new look!

Don't forget to put them in your pocket as you air-down or air-back-up on the trails.

I have lost countless valve caps by leaving them on the wheel or tire thinking I would see them to put them back on then I would get distracted and...hwell:

Installed my C4 sliders! Quality purchase. Had some issues with the install, but mostly because I couldn’t get the drivers side slider under the fuel tank skid.

Guess I just need to order an upgraded skid so I have an excuse to pull the whole thing off and do it right

Pelfreybilt Hidden Winch Mount, Warn Zeon 10-S, RCI Aluminum Skids

Busy weekend but just got finished putting aluminum RCI skids (engine, transmission and transfer case) and a Pelfrybilt Hidden Winch Mount with a Warn Zeon 10-s winch tucked nicely inside. Very much tucked.

Also, not pictured, but I reinstalled my stripped and repainted RCI sliders. When I bought them I opted to paint them myself thinking they would be easier to manage long term. I was pretty wrong on the manage part (No fault of the slider or RCI). Lots of proper prep, primer, paint, etc, and it chips so easily!
