What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Picked her up from the dealer
took some pictures as I drove it home
And “wheeled” it a little
It just a county park where any car can get through, but the kids thought it was the coolest thing in the world. However I did get it stuck in some sand near my house. Used 4L, the locker and terrain select to crawl out though. Didn’t get a photo of that though.

I’d recommend running some antiseize on those lower shock bolts if you don’t already.

Bad Tranny, Bad Bad Tranny. I think.....
So, today was an interesting day. As I went to back out of my driveway I noticed that my shift lever felt like it was, sticky. The truck didn't want to shift into "R", so I put it back in "P" and pulled the shifter back down. It went in, reluctantly. I shifted into "D" and it hesitated, and then went into gear, but the "D" never came up on the dashboard indicator. I started to drive side roads and everything felt normal, just without the indicator. I got on the highway about two miles later and I accelerated it just didn't feel right. I tried to shift into sport shift mode and it lit up "4", and then promptly went away. I accelerated and the truck wouldn't shift up a gear, go into cruise control, or allow me to shift in sport mode. I got off the highway and called the local dealership. Pulled up there about 15 min later to a waiting Camry loaner. They parked my 4R to the side as I moved my son and all the other necessary stuff over.
They thought it was either the shifter cable, or a "neutral sensor". As they went to pull my 4R into the service shop it wouldn't even go into gear, this was at about 1130am. At 1645 they called me back saying it hasn't been looked at yet and its still sitting in the service driveway..... We will see...
A little backstory.... About 3 1/2 months ago the dealership happened to have a small accident with the front end of my truck. As a consolation they installed the TRDP front end, and also installed the 5100/Wheelers Offload T1/T12 lift (free of charge) that I had previously purchased. I put on some 285/70/R17 General Grabber AT2's the next day. Not sure if this would put any extra strain on the trans, but I think if it did we would all know about this and not be doing it....
Hope someone knows whats going on.....

I took my metalic grey baby through a car wash. When I was drying it I discovered a .50 inch dent with white paint in it. I realize it's a four year old truck but, still, my first parking lot dent! I hate inconsiderate slobs who do that to other people's vehicles! I do plan on putting some "nature" scratches on it someday.

You betcha! Factory crossbars. Rhino rack. Yakima windshield. I was using the Rhino rack clamps. Just didn't like the look of those and they seemed too loose for me. I invested in some better than usual quality stainless steel hose clamps. Now that thing won't budge or slide. Looks much better and gives me more space for whatever goes up top.
Edit: Also, I added a couple better pics in my album...

Not all this was done today, but I have been slacking putting up pictures over the past few weeks.
Bought it from Toyota of Dallas, bone stock:
Painted the front and black emblems to match, deleted the roof rack, and added tint:
Bilstein 5100s for the front:
Last night, I got my RSG angled sliders in. Put them on in a couple hours.. things were heavy AF lol:
Picking up some trail wheels this weekend, and having them powdercoated black. I think I will go with 40% gloss or something like that.

Parking garages were one of the primary reasons I got rid of my F150. Parking anywhere downtown was a nightmare in that thing.
This new apartment I'm in only has a 6' 8" height limit. We'll see how close I get to that once the Gobi no-rise goes on. It's gonna be close. Good thing I wasn't planning on doing a huge lift.

Drove around Holcomb Valley. A lot of roads in Big Bear area are still closed for winter. It's 70° with no snow to be found. Still a great day.
