What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I installed the Firestone Ride Rites without taking apart any of the suspension. But be forewarned it was absolute pain in the C$&@!! I put the frame on very high jack stands design for heavy duty trucks and let the axle drop all the way down with the tires still attached. There was just enough room to wiggle the bags soaked in tire shine. I do notice it does provide a more firm ride even at 5 psi but overall I am very pleased with ride quality so far. We will see how they behave on city streets soon. Also I would like to note that several people and distributors state at minimum psi that the airbags provide zero lift. And based on all my before and after measurements these statements are false. I gained a 1/2 lift at 5 psi and I verified that the top of the bag isn’t in contact with the factory rubber coil spring isolator. Please take that for what it is worth. Outside of some nicked up hands and coil springs all faired well...now I hope the hold up like the other Firestone black airbag kits.
 
I just upgraded to these DDM Tuning Saber LED, 9005 LED Bulbs, 50W, 10000 Lumens / pair!

They thought it was either the shifter cable, or a "neutral sensor". As they went to pull my 4R into the service shop it wouldn't even go into gear, this was at about 1130am. At 1645 they called me back saying it hasn't been looked at yet and its still sitting in the service driveway..... We will see...



A little backstory.... About 3 1/2 months ago the dealership happened to have a small accident with the front end of my truck. As a consolation they installed the TRDP front end, and also installed the 5100/Wheelers Offload T1/T12 lift (free of charge) that I had previously purchased. I put on some 285/70/R17 General Grabber AT2's the next day. Not sure if this would put any extra strain on the trans, but I think if it did we would all know about this and not be doing it....



Hope someone knows whats going on.....

Update. Shifter cable. $800 out of warranty repair. F’n a.

I don’t think it’s too bad. I’ll take some better photos tomorrow in the light. I need to redo the rear letters. I forgot what I was doing with plastidip. I redid the front emblem once before I did some YouTubeing to figure it out. The 3rd attempt cam out a lot better. The rear is still the first attempt. I also pulled the front valence off to do it in black. Not sure if I’ll pull the rear one off or just do it on the truck. Also I agree on wanting something different then the all backed out look. I’m gonna do an over all blacked out theme, but I have no intentions blacking he wheels. I’m really interested in a set of white rock sliders. Seams like it might look good.

I upgraded the cloth seats to leather with heated/cooled ventilated seats. I was nervous about the switch placement looking OEM, but I am really happy with the finished product. I added the red stitching on the seats to match door panels from the factory.
