You need longer bolts on the front of the skid due to the lift. I had the same problem after my toytec boss.

It's the stock JBL enclosure, I bought the JL speaker on Crutchfield, it's the v3, I'm actually selling a v2 if anyone is interested. The stock enclosure had to be modified to fit the v3, the v2 did not appear to need modification to fit.

Stock skid goes back on just fine. You absolutely do not need longer bolts. All you have to do is not use those 2 front hinging tabs because of the radiator support drop. Just put the skid back up in place, don't try and hook those 2 tabs in up front.

Just got back from 7 day trip from Sedona, North Rim Grand Canyon, and CO.
Amazing trip, the San Juan Mountains of CO are absolutely amazing!!

Wet Wharton State Forest

Last minute trek with the family and some friends on some soggy forest roads in the pine barrens of NJ. Uneventful and the rain kept most of the dirt and mud off the vehicles so it doesn’t look that impressive. But, kids young and old had a little fun!

I'll be curious to know how you like them once you get to use them. I've never heard anything about them good or bad, but they sell sliders for other vehicles where no one else will (like the Kia Sorento). I always wondered about their quality...I'd love to hear a first hand review.

[MENTION=105450]CowboyTaco[/MENTION], Hey I have no griefs about them They look sharp and I in the area I am in there is nothing like it. My kids love to use them as steps and it gives a good standing platform for getting to the roof. I like that they out flat rather angle up. I think if they were angled up my foot will slip all the time and I would have to balance my ankle. I have an ankle injury so that would bother me. Plus the larger flat step for the rear passengers is an added bonus. Even if wasn't there it still would be nice but having it exceptionally nice. I am glad I got them powder coated flat black rather then the glossy finish it came. It works out great because I also got them coated with Ceramic Pro which has a better effect on the flat finish. All welds seems really nice and the overall construction is solid, sturdy, rigid. I am probably not going to be able to get a real extreme field test in my area.

Spent the weekend camping in the highest campground that you can drive to in the Sierras. Broke in the 4runner and was really impressed with how the stock suspension worked. I do need a lift though it would take some of the anxiety out.

These are Baja designs. The S8 mounts in stock holes but you have to be real creative and make custom mounts to make the S2s fit there.

Went on an 8 hour road trip to the Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon. Then drove another hour South to In N Out in Grants Pass. Time of my life! Nice comfortable ride in a fully loaded car utilizing unorthodox measures for third row seating LOL. Aside from the hills where this car is gutless I don't have a single "ragret " with my purchase.
