Did the opposite and finally Fe decontaminated, washed and sealed my new TRD wheels for the Winter.
Your 4R is waaay to clean to have been at "Burning Man" two weeks ago.
No one came off the lake that clean.

Not sure what you mean? Link? I'm super good with detailing and never heard of doing this. I've always just put a good coat of wax on them. Are talking about ceramic coating?

I guess you could use real ceramic coating but not sure it's the best product for job and is obviously pricey?
I use JetSeal from Chemical Guys, it's technically a paint sealant. Rub on, let dry for 20 minutes then buff off. You could use a spray-on-wipe-off "ceramic coating" like HydroSilex Recharge, a good spray-on or paste wax of your choosing... The length of time it lasts is important to me, JetSeal is advertised to last 12 months, I'd be delighted with 6 or 8.
The reason I used a dedicated sealant is longevity and hoping not to have to protect my wheels again until Spring.

Finally back in a Toyota! 3thrd one, 2nd 4Runner, and previous was an FJ Cruiser. Happy to be back! Little over 800mi now and added a retro TRD shift knob. Transfer case knob in black with white shift pattern on the way. Changed all interior lighting as well as license plate lighting to white LEDs. Blacked out all badges. Waiting for RKR steps and cross bars to come in. Custom leather interior on order as well. Gonna enjoy this 5th GEN!

Not oddly enough I found it on this site when searching for some custom prods for my 4Runner. Wanted to go with a custom retro TRD theme on the interior and liked the colors.
