Passenger side-a major flaw in the pattern where the access for the TR4 fame is in the wrong location. Will have to return it.

I just got back from another trip to Ouray/Telluride!

It started snowing the night we drove in, and by morning, all of the great passes/trails were impassable.

We still had a great time, and did what trails we could....as well as spent some additional time in the great town of Telluride!

I just got back from another trip to Ouray/Telluride!

Played around on Otay Mesa after a big rain last night. Trails were still in great shape and the rain kept the dust down. I didn't see a single other person until the last 1/2 mile. Perfect day to be up there.

Looks like ya had a great time. If it wasn't for kids sports today we would have hit the trails as well. Not too often we get some mud down here. What trails did ya hit?

Yeah... I've been kind of leaning toward the southern style slim line bumper... if I have to cut, I have to cut! I want something functional for a wench some day. I can't find any bull bars that aren't all flimsy looking... kinda defeats the purpose right?

Love mine from Westin. If you like the looks, go for it. Unless you are planning on having a head on collision, I wouldn't worry about what you can't control. The steel bumpers are more dangerous to the other vehicle as they don't give and you have to cut your front bumper. I went with the bull bar mainly to stop parallel Parker's from bumping my ride as I'm not ready to cut the bumper of a $40k vehicle just yet.

Man did we have a blast and I have a new found respect for 4runners lol. To this point we had only done logging roads for the most part. I thought we did pretty well representing the 4runner community in a sea of 12 wranglers lol!

Btw, if you haven't had the opportunity and want to learn... Kyle at off road consulting taught me more in 6 hours than I could have ever imagined learning on my own.

Gibson dual side tips exhaust and Rhino Rack installed

Attempted and failed to mount a Hi Lift on the FR rack using the FR bracket. Word of caution: Front Runner says their mount works with all size Hi Lifts and it does not.

I went with the black Hi Lift because I didn't want a bright red piece of metal hanging on the truck and it turns out the black Hi Lift (HL484) is a totally different model than the red Hi Lift (HL485), not just a different color. It has a totally different foot that's incompatible. I think the feet can be swapped or purchased separately but I am not 100% sure.

Honestly this is my first experience with an HL. I did a bit of research on the safety and how to use it properly and I can see it being useful in certain situations. But now that I have first hand experience with the weight and heft of these things, I may just return everything or only throw it in the back when I think I may need it. Having something that heavy hanging off the truck all the time seems pretty unnecessary. Looks cool though lol.
