What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Once you become a parent, the greatest joys in life are making your kids happy and seeing them become the kids we hope to raise them to be. Nice job!
 
2018 TRD Off Road

Wash and American Flag decal installed. Ordered black overlays for emblems and set up to get leveled next week.

So it stems from the 4th Gen V8s. I had this issue that my secondary air pump failed. It was the worst situation ever. Long story short my, now, fiancee was caught heading down the mountain in a snowstorm and could ONLY go 25 mph. EDIT: Also forgot to add: $1500 fix from toyota got it fixed. That one hurt.

Anyways, our 5th gens have these secondary air pumps. when you pull the cap off, you will find a sponge like "air filter". This "filter" tends to break down over time and gets sucked into the engine and can cause more issues.

Because of my experience on my 4th gen, I didn't want anything to happen like that again so I went for it.

Theres a ton of Tacoma drivers that have done this mod as well as a few here.

Never read about this before but great info. Ordered the UNI on ebay just now. Hard to beat a 5 minute $14 mod even if it is just for the hell of it.
 
Installed cali raised pods and fog light replacements and they look so good! The fog lights look way better than the plastic cirlces on there.

Earlier designs had significant failures and their customer service is an absolute joke. They're on their 3rd or 4th redesign, maybe they got it right this time. This is not to say they all failed, but when there are many reports of welds failing or ball joints coming apart causing significant vehicle damage and huge safety concerns, I tend to stay away. BTW SPC failures are not isolated to the Tacoma / 4Runner platform. They have had serious quality issues for quite some time across their whole product line. I would personally never run their products on anything I own.
 
Was inspired by another member for a good knife mounting spot. Trust me, I wouldn't do this if I didn't always need a knife.
It matches my pea shooter!
