What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

[2016 4Runner SR5]

Coming from stock springs with spacer... these feel very sloppy. Im going to give them a little while and see. Do some offroading in the mountains and the beach, see how they perform.

I ran them for about 12K miles or so with 5100s The ride was firm but part of that is the 5100s lol. I am now running stock with a 1.5" spacer and the TRD Pro Bilstein shocks and the ride is much better on road. Really all depends on what you use your 4R for.

All out of the dealer included oil changes, so I did my first oil change today. Switched to a metal filter housing for good measure. Definitely not as simple as the 4th gen, but easy nonetheless. Note to self: lay more cardboard down next time.

Finished my dual battery system finally. I've had an empty cage in there for months. Took about 2.5 hours. Simple setup but all I'm looking to do for now.

Not a huge accomplishment but I’m tired off my change sliding so I add some non slip grip tape to the doors.
Still don’t know with this for but it’s now non slip!

Minivan in front of me accelerated to merge into traffic. Then he stopped again while I was looking over my shoulder for my own merge space. I accelerated before turning my head back around and ran right into and rode up over his rear bumper. Massive damage to his rear hatch, mostly cosmetic damage to my front end & SSO Bumper. No injuries for me, he was holding his neck. I wasn't even going fast enough to trip the dashcam shock sensor for an event. That thing trips if you hit a hard bump in the road or swing too fast around a corner.

Took the bike out for my first ride in a couple of weeks with the rain in Georgia finally gone. I needed a head start on the post-thanksgiving weight loss lol

Then came home and washed the 4R for the first time since driving to Utah. Got a second workout getting some of the bugs off :shocked:

Got into a wreck last night as some moron thought it was a great idea to do 60MPH plus on ice. He fish tailed in front of me and my after-market bumper did a great job protecting me and my son. It also absorbed most of the impact and did minimal damage to the truck.

We wound up in a deep ditch and all my crazy mods helped us get out no problem. Unfortunately, the "said" moron did not have insurance and tried to speed away after the accident. As he had a rear while drive pickup and could only spin on the ice, I was able to get all of his information and relay it to police via my phone. The police did not show up at the scene as the town was on accident alert so I wheeled out of the ditch with no problem, while the "said" moron stayed stuck. I was more than happy to leave him to his misery!

Anyone who believes that an aluminum bumper is not strong is VERY WRONG!

Corrosion sucks. Ate my LCAs and Icon billet UCAs. The ball joint on the passenger side essentially disintegrated, and there was no way to press a new joint in. Pretty pumped how things worked out though. :thumb3:

This is the 4th stop on our trip.....left Dallas on Oct. 25th. So far we’ve hit Hot Springs, Lake Ouachita, Bella Vista / Bentonville, and this gem in Eureka Springs. The MTB trails around here are really well done with 6 new downhill tracks with free shuttle service.
Next stop is ........ St. Louis? Anyone have recommendations of what to see and where to ride in MO?

I've never been there, but I hear that the Katy Trail may be worth checking out.
