What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

What bracket did you use?

There's two holes that are unused on the front of the frame where it meets the "TOYOTA" garnish. I used the brackets that came with it and a "mending bracket" I think it's called to hold the mounts. It was a really tight fit and it seems solid, but I've got a trip planned alter this month, I'll let you guys know if it actually holds up on some trails!

I'll try to post some pictures later of the holes the the mending bracket thing.

That’s a nice one. Would be cool if you had the ability to toggle between just having the Amber/White/Both lights on. If you could, this would kinda give you that Raptor like look as well.

Yeah it will do either/or. Kind of makes rewiring it to more OEM looking switches confusing, but I'm a rookie at this. Gonna ask a friend to help me out. For now I'm using the chintzy little two-button thing that came with the harness.

I tried to add some swtiches to the dimmer circuit and got into a situation:

Okay I tried this and in the process shorted something:

Here is my situation:
All the lights went off in the overhead panel, the stereo side lights, the ac lights, and the wiper lights, sill get power to the green wire on the wiper switch, but the grey wire seems to not work.

When i run a lead off the gray wire to a metal spot on the frame all the lights turn back on? any ideas?

Also the dimmer switch still dims the gauge cluster and the radio screen, but if I touch the lead from the wiper switch to metal and get the lights back on, they wont dim now... Took apart the dimmer and its not burnt.

I am completely lost as to what happened and where. I went and looked at interior pictures on google to see if something wasn't lighting up trying to pinpoint where the short is but everything turns on when I touch the lead from the grey wire to metal, even the wiper switch still works.


Anyone have any ideas?

Got my TRD wheels installed. I decided to keep the Spidertrax spacers installed, just a little more trimming on the front bumper.

Looks great, I have those wheels with 255/75R17 KO2s, I keep thinking about adding the spacers also, but worried it will just COVER the side of the 4R in mud.
Notice a huge difference as far as that goes?
I wish they made a bit thinner spacer, I do think the tires are sunk in a bit, but in my head 1.25" sounds like alot.

When I had my trail wheels and the spacers, it did make a mess on my door. I imagine since the offset pushes these our slightly further, it will be worse. I have considered getting flares, but in Vegas, we don't encounter a lot of mud.

Added some goodies

Spent Sunday installing BD Squadron Sports in the fog location. Also added switchback front turn signals and LED rear turns and reverse lights. Crazy bright even in the daytime. Such an improvement over stock.

1.25 is not a lot at all. especially with those trd wheels.

It's definitely not a lot! I have them on and love them. They barely stick out with 285/70/17, I can send a picture if you send pm me.
