This past weekend I detailed the inside and outside of my "new to me" 2014 4runner Trail. We also put my new TAC nerf bars on, so now I can get in without looking like an idiot (I'm 5'2" and have pretty big tires)! I love my 4runner!!

Scored a Gobi Ranger rack on craigslist for $800 (!?) a few weeks ago and finally installed it last night. Still need to put the wind deflector on but ran out of daylight. The previous owner threw in the light bar, no branding on it so I imagine its some ebay/amazon generic. I'm not sure if it works but it should do until I figure out what I want to replace it with.

Added a few mods

Haven't been on here in awhile... Few mods I've added included ROLA rack with low profile mounts I fabbed up myself. RGB ditch lighting mounted to Cali-raised low profile ditch mounts with OEM switch, xenon depot 2700 amber fogs with lamin-x yellow lense cover, & Tyger auto nerf bars. Loving the look! Even painted the tiger red on the nerf bars to match the black and red theme i've got going on :thumb:

Have you had any problem with cops for lens blackout/tinting?

I've had mine for about a year and not one look from a cop, also been followed by a cop and never said anything to me. The red LED's work just fine

Should all of our 5th gens have this wire? I pulled my plug I had in there, and there was no wire connected to it. perhaps it had fell down at some point? It looks like I would have to pull the radio or something similar to get that far back. Assuming there is no wire, is this a cheap harness that can be bought and simply plugged in?

Hmmm. You have a 14 TEP?
I have an 18 ORP and mine had the harness. I would think your trim would have it too. Maybe you can hover your phone camera over the hole in the dash to get a picture of what’s in there. Or look through the windshield. Or fish around with a thin wire to grab it. But probably the best bet is to remove the radio to see what’s there.

First check to see if your dash has the harness installed. This sensor allows you to turn your headlights on in the daytime yet have the dash lighting continue at normal brightness

That shroud is a pain! I put xenon Depot extreme LED’s in the fogs and love them! I also put the lamin x yellow film over the lens. What did you put in the tail lights. I’m about to buy some GTR Lighting Armor series to go with the diode dynamics turn to tail + reverse kit.

I have them also. They are OK, better than stock, but nothing is great in the 4R because of the tiny housing. Just not enough to reflect off of I guess.

I haven't. I pass cops all the time. My rear tail lights were blacked out from the dealership.

took a lot of great ideas from this forum and crafted my own sleeping platform. It’s got a slide out table and storage underneath. It fits level with the rear seats as well.

I put the small dash cubbyhole to better use. I installed a four-switch bank to control some additional interior lighting. (Switch housing from S-Tech and switches from Digi-Key). With one switch I implemented the [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] inspired constant/accessory 12 V to the dash power outlet. Also one switch controls an LED to light the cupholder/shift knob area. The other two switches are spares for future use.

I don’t like the leaving the fuse box uncovered and fuses exposed when using fuse-taps so I found this extended fuse box cover from ME-SO Customs.

It works well to accommodate the additional height of the fuse-taps.
