Giant Lakeside? Those guys are great. Bought my Anthem from them in 2017

That's the one. The only other Giant dealer in my area didn't have it, so we drove an hour each way to get it. It came with lifetime adjustments, but I probably won't be visiting them very often, unless I wanted to ride Northshore.

Thanks. I actually did need to widen the holes a little. Using a dremel made it easy to do, but ended up accidentally scratching some of the surface area for front.

I looked at that one, I'm not big on the style where it clamps onto the frame. I'm keeping my eye out for a used one that clamps down on the tire. If I can't find anything I may go with this one and try to modify it for that flaw. How many feet does it stick out from the back bumper?

Why dont you go with something like the Yakima HoldUp. I know they are a bit more expensive but they are incredible. It holds the bike by the wheels (which I too prefer) and its completely sturdy. If I were to buy another bike rack it would be this one or 1up.

for those that did this change, is it simply pulling out the existing cig lighter socket and splicing in the hot/ neg leads or are you running back to the fuse panel?

I basically just pulled out the cig lighters and replaced them with those usb ports. And did splice and solder the leads. No need to run the wires to the fuse panel. The wires that come with the usb power port have an in line fuse built in.

I replaced the the 12v port in the front and one of the other 12v ports in the rear center console with dual usb charging power outlets. They both have built in volt meter. I didn't really need the volt meter for the rear. But got both on sale during prime day and were the same price as ones that did not have the built in volt meter. So I figured why not. I also got my dash came hardwired as well.

I'm curious, for what reason do you need to monitor the voltage load? Do you frequently use/swap out devices being powered/charged and are concerned with popping the fuse?

Yesterday was a VERY exciting day!! My bronze Icon Rebounds came in and were mounted on the 285/70 Falken Wildpeaks! I was considering KO2s like many here but I got an amazing deal on the Falkens that I couldn't ignore. Big thanks to Dixie Fab in Roanoke for pulling the order together and getting everything rolling nicely.

I am incredibly pleased and REALLY love color of the rims with the Super White body. The bronze catches the eye and gives a bit of pop color in a world of blacked out wheels. The aggressive tread makes the vehicle LOOK as capable as it really is. I am enjoying the hell out of this rig and cant wait to take her offroad and LEARN how to use her to her full potential!

I got rid of my Yakima for a Kuat NV 2.0 that I found used locally.

Thing is a beast. I love it. And Kuat's support is second-to-none. I had an issue with the locks being installed upside-down by the previous owner, so the cable locks on the rack were useless. After a few emails back-and-forth explaining the issue to Kuat, they sent me (on their dime) two brand new cable locks and matching keys. For a rack I'd purchased used.

But the rack itself is still awesome. The ball mechanism they use to secure the rack in the hitch is bullet-proof, the rack itself is bullet-proof, it's just awesome.

I didn't need the NV 2.0, I actually wanted the Sherpa as it's a lighter and smaller rack, but the NV 2.0 was the only thing I found used (no way I wanted to pay new prices) and I don't regret it. Plus the bike stand is kind of cool and has got some use at home for general work already.
