What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Blacked out the chrome on Monday and got my rack installed Friday. I'm donewith doing anything else for a while.

What did you use to black it out?

Actually, I had it installed by a local shop (ACC USA), took about 3 hours (they did a fantastic job by the way). Mounted the new switch in that vacant switch area just left and down from the radio (reserving those 4 vacant switch locations to the left of the steering wheel for future lighting mods). Mounting the camera up front, be sure to cut the "white" wire loop for a positive image, otherwise it will be a mirror image in front of you. Used this kit, but a different camera (white), to match my vehicle application: Anytime Backup Camera

Very cool. I really need to get this done on Megaweapon one of these days. There are so many times on the trail when a forward-looking camera would be a great help.

got my (new to me) trail running boards installed..super easy, other than cross-threading one of the forward most bracket bolts..

6112/5160 SPC Install

I installed Bilstein 6112/5160 on Saturday on my 19 ORP w/KDSS. The job wasn't bad at all. I was able to do the 6112s and UCAs by myself before my daughter showed up to lend a hand. I actually thought the rear was more of a pain than the front..... could have been the fatigue setting in. It was very hot in the garage after the lunch break. Took me about 6 hours or so. This was my first lift install. Most of my wrenching history is on dirtbikes. Not a bad job and there are plenty of videos out there for research.

This is my 1st post on here since I just purchased my 1st 4Runner about a month ago. I have owned Jeep Wranglers for 20 years and decided I wanted something a little nicer but keeping the off-road capability. I've heard nothing but great things about 4Runners and took the leap. I couldn't be happier! I love this truck and see myself being a hard-core fan. Of course I had to customize a little so, the past weekend I blacked out the letters, added a TRD front end and painted my wheels. All of the things I did were ideas I got from browsing this forum over the last few weeks. I was able to complete all of the mods by using recommendations and tips from the great people on here. So, THANK YOU TO ALL who have put their processes on here! I still have a few things left to do like have the roof rails powder coated and add steps. New tires and Toytec 3" lift will probably have to happen early 2020. We'll see. So far I'm loving this truck though.

I didn't like mine when I had them on. The board was just at an awkward height that made it unnecessary. I find it easier without them, though my wife actually misses them.

Went camping/fly fishing all weekend on the Arkansas and Taylor Rivers, set up camp just west of Buena Vista, drove over Tincup Pass from St Elmo to Tincup, saw lots of wildlife. Another solid Colorado weekend.

Got a ceramic tint job 5% all around and 70% windshield. I am absolutely blown away by the performance of this ceramic tint. It sheds the Texas heat like nobodies business its actually chilly in the car in direct sun. Highly recommend it.

So I ended up tying some string to a bolt and pulled the bolt up the inside of the hood pieces to get it sticking through the hole into the pyramid shaped forms in the underside insulation

I used this concept to attach the KC lights under the hood.
I ran them closer to the center and cut the lining to fit the lights.
Stoked on these.
