What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

First post since getting my nautical blue TRD ORP. So far I've done the Daystar 2.5"/1.5" spacer lift, SCS F5 17in wheels with -38mm offset, 285/70/17 Ridge Grapplers, shrockworks sliders, and a Victory 4x4 roof rack!

Had a vibration on my new 19 ORP pretty much right off the lot put about 1100 miles on it and take it in. Well today i dropped it off in the morning and get a call after lunch that 3 techs and 2 service managers have driven it and dont feel a issue. So they come pick me up and i take a manager out for a ride and right at 56mph where i told them i get a shimmy in the wheel. We drove a few miles and made the service manager confirm he seen and felt the issue and dropped it back off. They agreed to do a road force balance and look into the lexus tsb for a similar issue that requires a replacement of a spring in the rack and we will go from there. I read where a few users had their 4runner bought back by toyota for a simillar issue. I am glad they offer that solution but i would rather have mine fixed and returned. I will keep yall updated hopefully they find a solution.

LFD Full Roof Rack

Finished installing my new (to me) LFD roof rack. Replaced my Yakima cross bars and cargo basket. Also recently finished removing most of my old, peeling plastidip from the chrome trim. Just gotta find the time to re-do it.

Hey guys. New member to the forums. Just bought my first 4-Runner a week ago.

2017 SR5 Premium w/ XP Predator Package

Within a week of buying, a truck carrying rocks pulled in front of me and threw rocks everywhere. Knicks and all along the front bumper.

I’ve decided I’m just going to get a new bumper. Since I’m doing that, I’m thinking of switching to the TRD Pro bumper (5211935914). The stock bumper for mine is the 5211935912. Would I have any issues with fitment by doing this? I’m assuming the fitment and allocations for bolting to the vehicle are the same. Is this correct?

Sorry if this isn’t the place to post. I tried doing a new thread, but it won’t allow me since I’m a new member. Figured this thread for customizations may be the spot.

2017 SR5 4Runner Grey Beards Build

So I have done a little bit of this and that over the last month or two... I havent started a build page yet but this is what Ive done so far.

5100s and OME medium springs all the way around (approx 2.5" lift)

Trail/Off Road Wheels with Nitto Ridge Grapplers 285/70R17s

LFD Off Road Full Skids (including gas tank skid) (Not installed, going on before friday)

Next on the list are
Frame Sliders (Most likely building in house, unless someone local in NC has some in stock)

3 inch lift just installed

I just installed a Rough country 3 inch spacer lift on my new 4runner. (3 inch spacer up front, 2 inch in back) I am running fuel assault wheels and 275/70/17 BFG KO2 A/T Tires.

My question is what is my next step on improving my ride/capabilities? (New upgraded shocks, UCA's, Etc.)

Engine cover stickers.

I got these today and put them on. Quality stickers, clear instructions but they are a bit tricky. You need patience. At least more than I have! They come with an extra center stripe which I had to use, an extra emblem and three extra "dots". They are not perfect due to my as mentioned lack of patience but I think they look good. Subtle but noticeable.

I'd honestly just call a dealership to see if they can figure it out.

Since it doesn't look like you stripped the chrome, what paint are you using that you trust to stick properly and not flake off?

Got my truck back today turned out it was a defective tire. It was way off and would not balance on the road force machine so they are getting me a new tire. Hopefully that will sole the issue

Super easy test. Put the spare on and see if the vibration goes away. If not, it's not the tire.
