I also added a tpms and voltage reader, No tpms reader was one of my biggest problems with my 4runner but this little kit installed easily and works great. I have tested it and verified its accuracy as well.... plus it also has a usb charger input on the side so you dont have to remove the reader to charge your phone.

I’m interested in this. Checked it out on Amazon and eBay. I assume simple install and wireless? Quick readout upon switching on ignition?

3D printed badge

Here in Colorado front plates are required, so the dealer who originally sold mine (not to me) solved the lack of a front plate bracket by just running a couple of screws into the plastic just below the grille.

Since I got my winch bumper installed and now use a fairlead mounted plate holder those big screw holes drove me nuts. I know a quick fix a lot of people use is a couple of plastic mushroom plugs to fill them, but that wasn't quite doing it for me. I decided to try putting a Toyota badge on there to cover the holes.

I found a classic Land Cruiser style TOYOTA badge model online that can be 3D printed. I scaled it to cover up the holes and did a 2 color white on black print. The print came out pretty good. I affixed it to the front of the bumper with 3M permanent tape. I really like the badge but I'm going to have to live with the placement for a while to see if I 100% love where it sits.

Only downside i have found is the individual tire temperatures can only be read in Celsius... But that's not a major concern for me....

Soooooooooo I just got my Trail back from my autobody guy ... after him having it for ALMOST 10 months. Long story short I smashed right into a pole last winter post ice storm. The road was untreated and completely covered in ice. All the airbags went off, but I was totally fine. My insurance company decided not to total it out and and so began 10 months of me not having a car.

Toyota had the airbag recall on the T4R just when this happened so it sat around at the autobody for four months. When they got the airbags in my mechanic called saying the headliners doesn't match with my moonroof - ahhh! I remembered I had it put in by the dealer sans purchase - so I had to wait two months to have them track down the shop who did the install so they can cut the headliner to fit.

I just got it back last Tuesday and today I decided to throw on the Overland Depot Raptor lights kit, TRD Pro Grill and their yellow fog overlays. I am so happy to get the rig back. They detailed the interior and MANNNN it smells BRAND NEWWWWW :whoo:

So how fast were you going upon impact to do that?

Since winter is coming and I was doing the wife's car anyway I cleaned and sealed the battery terminals. Wire brush, CRC Contact Cleaner and after reinstalling a couple coats of CRC Marine HD Corrosion Inhibitor.

Thank you. Got to thinking, did you have to disable/remove the OEM TPS sensing system? My 4Runner is a 2018 SR5.

The FAQ section in the comments area on Amazon’s page for this system tells how to change between C and F. They also say that an upgraded unit is availabe, which may have addressed this.

...The drone shots really help see the layout overall...and don't know if ya realize it or not....but you could use your Mavic as a hand-held Steadicam by simply removing the props and walking around with it....it would smooth out those shots from the ground and give them a more cinematic look...just like your aerials....:director:......Nice job!...:thumb:

Didnt have to disable or remove anything except the regular valve stem caps to put on the sensor caps. easy.

Mine is a 2019 sr5.

I tried what the person said about how to change between C and F, but there was no option for that in the settings on the unit i have. Though im not too concerned about tire temps anyways so that doesnt bother me. You can easily set a max temp and it will alert you if you go over it if that was a concern.


Its a very simple quick mod for displaying tire pressure. Thats all i wanted.

Finally got the Morimoto XB fog lights to match the XB headlights.

I ended up using the OEM bracket which may end up being a little questionable since the posts on the XB light that allows them to rotate based on the adjustment setting seem to push themselves out of their holes if you go too far on the adjustment.

Anyway, finally the front end is complete!

Also, yes I still love the XB headlights after multiple night time trips out in the boonies. They work wonderfully.
