Wiring clean up and finishing the Switch Pros 9100 Install

Finally got around to completing the SP 9100 install, Mounted on a Power Trays ARB / Switch Pros mount with the 9100 module on the underside to prevent water settling on the top. Absolute PITA. 100% most uncomfortable install I've completed. If I wasn't so undecided on a second battery I'd have split the set up and done ARB in one corner and 9100 in this location. Could have made for a much more pleasant Saturday morning.

Is this the same for the high beam? I get that the low beam LED doesn’t compare to the halogen bulb, but the Xenon Depot 9005 LED looks much brighter.

I don't think he has a lot of data on high beam applications. Here's an excerpt from the Hikari tests where it appeared brighter by 20%, but not in the needed hotspot:

The LED pattern is a bit more filled out than the halogen that has a hotter area lower in the beam. But that isn't unintentional. The lower hotter spot in the halogen high beam is to project the beam maximum forward distance for down road distance vision while also giving a wider area illumination. The LED pattern has lost this defined hotspot trait and is more of a uniform light spread. I did some 42' distance testing for high beam, and the Hikari's put down better peak numbers by roughly 20%. However it wasn't easy to tell exactly where that was relative in the beam and I suspect it is higher, for example a 20% increase in light aimed up 5 degrees isn't going to be beneficial to help you see further down the road. Brighter yes, but you also want that brighter applied to where you need it to go for it to be true effective. Unfortunately it began to rain so I packed up my gear to bring it inside.

Installed Victory rear and center Molle panels. I now have a better way to store some of the things that could be useful in various types of emergency situations.

I love my center console molle panels and rear window panel, so much stuff to mount there. What did you use for the fire extinguisher mount?

Not a very good one... I'll be in search of something effective myself.

Right now it is just the original plastic mount. I have a larger extinguisher that I normally keep in the back (which is probably too heavy for the Molle rack). So I threw this small one on to see how it would fit. And of course so that the rack wouldn't look so bare for the photo shoot .

Just go to Advanced Auto or Auto Zone They have LED's that I think are just fine. Did ALL my interior bulbs. Very happy

Agree. Your local auto parts store should have a good selection. A lot of the interior bulbs can be replaced with 194 LED bulbs. Philips is a good brand. They’re not super bright, but you don’t want the absolute brightest bulb like some folks strive to find. For example, at night you don’t want a blast of bright courtesy lights blinding your eyes. The hatch lights are another matter, brighter is better. You can search the forum for ideas, like Diode Dynamics or Superbright LEDs or others.

Installed Diode Dynamics Turn as Tail mod using the brightest led bulbs available. Pretty easy modification that I’m hoping will keep me from backing into stuff as my older eyesight gets worse ;-)
I need some cataract surgery but waiting for the Covid19 thing to die down first.

I installed a pedal commander today, so far so good. I definitely noticed a lot more pep in the acceleration, now I just have to experiment with the different settings.

Question for anybody, this red wire(with 40 amp fuse) ran from the battery to the firewall under the passenger seat door trim and then I stopped tracing it from there. I disconnected it a while back and haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. I'm assuming it was an amplifier power wire but I don't see an amp under any seat is there anywhere else it could be hiding or maybe the previous owner cut the wire and tucked it away? Thanks

Judging from the Photo it did not come from the Factory like that
You Must be the second owner.
See if the tray on the PS in the storage area can be pulled up.
This is the spot most of us use for accessory power distribution for things like Refers and amps.
Also the conductor is too small to really power anything at that length.

1. Did the BMC; didn't weld yet. I'm probably going to cut a little more and make my own plates; The Metal-Tech plates are too small.

2. I added the Sprint Booster from Burtman about 2 weeks ago, but it's just been sitting in my cup holder until I mounted it here yesterday. This spot seems like it was made for it!

3. Ordered some 285/75r17 MT's (34.1") !!!
