Hey there, these are the Daystar bumpstops that Sonoran Steel recommended for their tracbar set up. They have worked pretty well and I'm content with them.

Installed my radar detector today. Radenso Pro M using a Mirror Tap. Worked fantastic. FYI. Blue for power and Black/White is ground. Suctions cups for the radar mount would not hold well, so I switched to double sided automotive tape. Worked like a dream. High, tight and solid.

clean mount, going to borrow your tap idea and run mine there. Question on mounting on top of the mirror, do those black dots interfere much with the detection?

Yes. Those are the ones. I think black will look just fine on Nautical Blue.

Ok, I added another mall crawlin accessory today. A foam cell license plate bracket. My TRD Off Road frame got cracked from somebody at work backing into it. So I got new Pro frames and the thick and wide bumper plate frame holder.

Long Range America Tank

Finally burned through my first fill up on my new Long Range America auxiliary fuel tank. I drove back home from Nevada and clocked over 100 miles on the Mojave trail & some offshoots and most of the rest of my driving was at 75 to 80mph, so by no means was I hypermiling in anyway. When I gassed up today, the fuel light had just turned on and I had traveled 714 miles from my first fill up. $166 and 55.4 gallons to fill back up. I'm so happy to be done with my Rotopax! Thanks so much to Khris from LRA for hooking me up during a time when international logistics are in pandemic mode and to Ralph at JPR automotive for the install!

I finally got in the wireless charging phone cradle from RamMounts. I was going to fashion one out of a Samsung charger and an X-Grip, but they sent the email these were releasing so I waited. Now with my Kenwood head unit I truly have a wireless setup: both charging and Android Auto! No more stabbing my phone or fumbling with wires. It's still in a test connection setup, I'll get pretty with the wires when I'm not fiddling with stuff in the dark after midnight!

It wasn’t bad. The ball that comes on the mount can be taken off, then I just cut the bolt out and drilled a bigger hole for a new bolt that will attach to the Ram ball. Took me like 30 minutes. The mount is sturdy, I have both the short arm and medium. Right now I’m using the short and I love it.

Dual Battery Setup

Finally finished the Dual Battery setup. I researched a few different people's builds and watched dozens of videos, read through lots of forums and tried to do my own research as well. Thanks to another forum member for some guidance and providing some info as well. I'll keep from naming him just in case he wants to remain out of the spotlight.

I stuck with the OEM LA battery for the starter battery. All the rest, is the list of items I used; sans multiple trips to hardware store for different bolts, nuts, electrical components, etc.

UPS, FEDEX, and USPS were showing up on the daily for about 3 weeks straight while gathering all the components.

- C4FAB battery tray
- Duracell Deep cycle Marine 70AH AGM
- REDARC 1225D DC DC charger
- REDARC 40amp fuse
- Two 40amp resettable circuit breakers (blue sea)
- 4AWG terminated Battery cables (ordered to length) for under hood and from aux batt to rear power box
- SDHQ battery terminals
- NOCO genius GEN2 (20amp / 2 bank)
- NOCO Extension for shore power plug-in
- 9"x6" sealable hard plastic box (power distribution box)
- Victron Battery monitor (BMV-712)
- Voltmeter (blue sea)
- USBs (blue sea)
- USB + USBc
- cigarette lighter style 12v socket
- Anderson power pole connector
- 1/2" 12x24" black plastic starboard

Still waiting on Dometics DC hardwire kit to add to power box, fridge plugs into socket on top of box for now.

This was my attempt at combining a few things I saw from different builds. I'm no expert, and could've had some cleaner wire groupings, but didn't want to mess with cutting and re-terminating battery cables. I chose to make the power distribution box removable, so it's connected by an Anderson connector and hangs on my MOLLE panel in the rear compartment. I had to get somewhat creative at mounting the NOCO, and with little real estate under the hood, decided to mount it on top of the fuse box hard mounted to a plastic base. I left enough slack to rotate it up to easily access fuses and relays. Seems to work just fine. I'm pretty happy with it, and will most likely add solar within the next year or so.

Changed Oil/Filter/Filter Bowl to Aluminum @19,998 mi. Pennzoil 0-20W $11.31 cheaper [MENTION=4995]wally[/MENTION] World for 5Qt then Auto Zone! 1st on this one for me, been letting dealer due 5k Maint. But W/CV-19 now have to make Appt. drop off & get a ride, not worth it! Same set up as my old 2012 FJ except the plastic trim in front of skid plate. 08FJ & 15 Tacoma was so easy just dump oil, spin off filter on top of eng. Used the old 2012 filter bowl drain tool I had saved W/PVC tube. Switched out the stand pipe from plastic bowl to new Aluminum, taller I guess the lexus uses a shorter filter.

Cool set up, I know first hand how much work you put into that system and you obviously put a lot of thought into the choices you made. I like the box you built, very nice.
Just curious, why do you have need for the NOCO genius charger when you have the very capable Redarc BCDC? What are you charging off the NOCO? Also the Redarc will perform better and last longer if you get it in front of the radiator and out of the engine bay. Out of town 4wd makes a mount for the Prado 150 that mounts just the same as in the 4runner (TLRTP15009BCMOUNT - PRADO 150 10/2009 ON| BCDC) and Redarc makes one as well (REDARC BCDCMB-003 Mounting Bracket), both are identical.

I didn’t know there was a mount that could locate it to the front. I’ll def check it out. It does get pretty warm up there.

I got the NOCO for plugging in at campsites. We’re in boring Indiana, so most of the camping we do around here is at parks with hookups and parked next to the families with their big campers. Figured if it was going to be a 3-4 day outing, wouldn’t hurt to have shore power at places like this.
