Dropped my gas tank skid to install the c4. Only to discover one of the mounts was cut improperly. What is it with my luck with vendor quality control? Almost every aftermarket mod I’ve done so far has had some sort of qc issue.

Bashed the dents out of the stock one with a hammer so it stopped rubbing the gas tank and wrestled it back it. Good thing I had cool 111 degree weather on my side. Luckily I also split my hand open and bleed all over my carport.

I could just cut the mount up to make it fit but I would rather I just get what I paid for. I’ll be giving c4 a call on Monday.

Hahaha......We just have one kiddo, a 7 year old daughter.....but yeah, with the dog ect., the 4Runner was packed to the max!

I would only leave it on when needed on a trip, then wash it off before putting it away. The last discount they had was during July 4th-5th.

How big is the tube, length and diameter to store the panels. Would it fit easily in the back of the 4Runner? Is that the Swedish or Urban pattern?

I threw away the tube....You can just store it stacked up and place it inside a folded box. The largest piece would be the door.

Adjusted my Trailhead deflators today. Red to 15 for sand dune trip next week and blue to 22 for upcoming mountain trail trip in case I get tired of the washboard roads. Weighed my CO2 tank, looks like 10 pounds, good for about 6 fills from 15 to 35.

Why run 22psi in the mountains ???
I run 15psi every where ...

It will be hard pack with some washboard and more clear sections. May want to go faster on the better sections. Not sure about running 15 psi at 25+ mph.

I've ran 15psi on everything from wash boards to dirt roads to loose rocks. I haven't tried that on snow and powdered sand dunes.

But I do it more for comfort. Im usually with the fam and I don't usually go fast.
