The KO2s are pretty quiet, but they do get louder as they wear down. Not a huge difference, but I definitely notice more noise after 25k on them.
What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I've got about 50k on my ko2's and like them. They do require the 5000k rotation or they will cup on you. Also, they require higher PSI inflation which I found out a little later after some weird wear. Fixed that (i run at 42psi) and rotate as prescribed and they are great for me and my light offroading.

Just picked up a 2020 ORP. The rear windows look very dark.
1) Are T4R tinted at the factory? Is there UV protection?
2) What's everyone going with? Tempted to just get 30% ceramic on the front windows and call it a day.

1) The glass behind the B-pillar is not tinted, but it's the actual glass "color" for the purpose of this discussion. The metal oxides used to create this color do provide UV protection. The "clear" actually green glass in your front windows and windshield (additional UV protection also comes from the windshield polymer inter-layer that separates the two piece of glass in the laminate construction) have color neutral metal oxides designed to reduce UV transmittance. This technology was developed in the late 80s/early 90s and was adopted by all glass manufacturers for the automotive market. If you are crazy OCD, it's important to know that your front glass is green, back glass is gray with a bronze hue when you are trying to match your front and rear windows visually.
2) I would recommend tinted ceramic, I think I used somewhere around 25%VLT (visibile light transmission) for the front. 60 or 90%VLT for the windshield, as dark as you'd like for the sunroof, and then again 90-95%VLT for the rear windows. This would maximize thermal (and UV) protection throughout the vehicle.

On Saturday a buddy and I installed Bilstein 6112/5160s and JBA UCAs. Pretty damned happy with the results.
Then yesterday I built a custom fishing rod holder for the side of my roof basket. I couldn't find anything off the shelf that worked for me (just wanted something simple to hold 2 rods along the side) so I got some quick fist clamps and built a little setup.

Really liking those rod holders! Nicely done!
I have 10,000 on my KO2’s , I think their quiet and am happy with them.

Thanks! I couldn't believe there wasn't something off the shelf available, but as they say, "necessity is the mother of invention".
It was a long hjot day working in 100 degree heat, but dammit, I got my Dobinsons suspension installed, 2" in the front and 1.5" in the back. It has only been driven about 10 miles so not fully settled to find the true final lift height.
I really like how this looks -- a mild lift that maintains some factory rake. Do you expect it to change much as it settles? Also, did you keep the stock UCAs?
Edit: I forgot to ask, exactly what kit is this?

After a month of ownership, I finally got to stretch the legs of my ORP for the first time. Went out cruising along some forest service roads on the way to several hikes in the Nantahala National Forest in Franklin, NC. Now that I've used the truck for its true purpose, I've really got the mod bug so I placed a bunch of orders for new parts to install once we get home.

Stock tire size, I feel much more of a lift you kind of need bigger tires to fill it out. That may be down the road, when new tires are needed.
Stock UCA, a UCA is really only needed around 2 and a half to 3 inches or more.

After install of 55-60 pound front skid plate, new suspension and about a hundred miles of hwy driving and 7 miles of dirt I now have. (measured with tired been in the sun working all day hands, but pretty close to what I expected/hoped for.
Front: 21 3\4"
Rear: 23 3\4"
So if no more settling the same rake was maintained and I gained 1 and 3/4 inches front and back. The rears where supposed to be 1 and a 1/2 inch so we will see. I expect the heavy front skid to have dropped the front from the stated 2"-1 3/4" lift to the lower end.
I will update if you are curious around aug 2nd as I will then have had an alignment and a few days in an offroad vacation.
Right now it drives like a dream, so much better road manners and handling.

I would recommend checking your state law on allowable tint. Got a ticket once for my tint being too dark (less than 5%, but that’s a different story). It was expensive!

I was there last week! Probably did some of the same forest roads. Was there a lake at the top of the mountain?
Awesome, thanks for the detail! Yeah I'd love to hear thoughts after your alignment and trip. I don't anticipate adding weight in the near term if I were to do this, but even with a little more height in front this should work well. Looks great and thanks again.

That looks like a fun project. Having dogs and a wife a roof top tent would just not work for me. Something off a trailer height with an enclosed area for the dogs at ground level would be awesome for us.
Looking forward to your progress and what you do with this trailer.
