What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Installed Ironman pro forge UCAs. These are very well built and another great option for those that need an uca. These have rubber bushings and an OEM ball joint. I am running a little over 2” of lift in the front and the alignment tech gave me 4.7 caster. Truck drives great on the road and on the highway it tracks nice and straight.

Gave it a wash (first one!!), and installed Lumin-X yellow fog stickers. Anyone have a method to clean the tires? I feel like there is a ton of brake dust stuck to them.

PSA: washing a ceramic coated car is extremely easy!

I finished and installed my homemade roof rack today. I wont need to remove it again until i buy lights. I have learned that painting is not my strong suit!!!

I got a bunch of tools this week, but the big ones are my new jack, wheel chocks, and jack stands. I finally got my jack today, and I tested out the chocks and stands. Everything's in working order, though I'm going to be grinding the saddles of the stands a little bit to help smooth things out.

I'll be installing the TRD exhaust, Treaty Oak recovery points, and the heritage grill near the end of the month. Woo hoo!

I use Nanolex (wheel cleaner/iron remover and tire and rubber restorer) with great results. I tried to Sonax wheel cleaner plus in past and I thought it worked pretty well, but this was on gloss wheels. I also recently tried the Aenso product line which is really good. I have the FicTech wheel foam, but haven't tried it yet.

You could also try a magic eraser - I prefer the kitchen version with Dawn in the pad.

Installed my Cali Raised 20° sliders. I am so happy with the way they hug my rig but still offer all that protection on the side as well.

I do have to get used to my leg rubbing on them when exiting the vehicle. Sold my Predator Tubes a few months ago so it was nice not hitting anything with my leg.

Lift kit and 285s are on. Westcott Designs Fox TRD Pro Front Lift kit and Camburg 1.25 Uniball UCAs up front. Dobinsons C59-599 Coil Springs in their red finish for the rear. Tires are 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W C-load range. Super happy with the set-up and it still rides very nice, albeit a touch firmer than stock. Parts and install all done through my buddy Monroe over at Michael's Toyota in Bellevue. For anyone in the greater Seattle-area, I highly recommend him for anything aftermarket.

I’m waiting for my Eibach pro springs. Do you have any rubbing in the front or did you do anything to fix it. I’m going to be putting F5’s on and hoping to run 285’s but don’t know if there going to clear.

i didnt think about getting out before putting on the sliders, not a problem for me, im tall and can step out farther.,, but then i realized im dragging the edge of the seat getting out that way, and figure after a few years of that the seat edge will be worn through. so ive started to just put my foot on it getting out, and that helps, but i fish and leave my wading shoes on going from spot to spot, and the cleats will tear up the powder coat. more problems, so im getting a short piece of rubber conveyor belt, and im going to cut it, and cable tie it on top of the slider when i go fish to save the powder coat. always something.

I am tall as well and can get out no prob, just have to get used to that feeling of it hitting my leg.

Thanks Rus and [MENTION=219032]DallasTRDPro[/MENTION] ! There was some rubbing in the front, most likely because I'm running SCS wheels and not the stock TRD Pro ones. Front mudflaps were removed and they also had to trim a skosh off the bottom edge of the front bumper (where the bumper meets the fender liner). The tech did a good job of making a clean cut, and I did finish it with some Cowles black edge trim. Will try to post some close-up pics of the work. Happy to report no rubbing now even at full lock.

I'm 4X4ing every chance I get! It's awesome! I just did some light off roading in one of the Englishtown Auction parking lots that doesn't see much use these days in order to give my 4X4 low gears a workout, and it was so much fun! Except for some cars near the entrance to the flea market, I had the whole place to myself. This was so cool!

Unfortunately the photo doesn't capture so well how dirty my 4Runner is, but whatever. 4X4!!!



My Antics Design 3D printed footwell fuse box cover also popped off on its own today. I thought it was secure, and it was solid for a month, but it popped off while I was driving on the road, not while off roading. I can see it's doing the 3D printed thing where the plastic curves out of shape, so I'm going to see what I can do with the box from here on out. Maybe I'll buy another official Toyota fuse box cover and use it as a base with better clips for the Antics one. I could glue the Antics one to the Toyota one and cut away what needs to be cut from the Toyota one. I just hope the glue holds up.

Ordered a bunch of shit for 20k.

Gaskets for front/rear diffs, transfer case and oil drain plug. Spare battery terminals since one got eaten up by my old battery. Spare lower shock bolts for front and rear. Spare lower shock nuts for the front. As well a new air filter and spare.

Down the road I want to go for spare inner and outer tie rods w/boot. Spare serp belt. Spare complete CV. Possibly a spare hub assembly. Prob overkill for what I do but better to have and not need then to need and not have. That’s a decent chuck of change tho. I’ll move slow on those purchases as they are likely not necessary anytime soon.

Got out on the trail today at Pilot Rock in SoCal. New sliders were tested and already need some touchup lol.

Also used my stock fuel tank skid so will be adding a new one to the wish list along with rear lower link skids!
