Night in the desert. Attempted to make it to an old mine settlement but the road got too sketch to go alone.

Mounted the Racor ceiling lift for my roof top tent storage.

I just unbolt the 2 Prinsu crossbars, run the strap underneath and crank it up. Will make putting tent on and off a simple few minute process with no lifting or struggling. I had to just purchase 2 extra Prinsu crossbars to use on the truck now that I dedicated these to stay with the tent.

Hit up bee canyon trail today with the wife and kids, got some more pinstripes or as i like to call them battlescars on the rig, also saw some deer up there for the first time which was kinda neat.

Thursday was our 37th anniversary, which we celebrated with our usual tradition -- we loaded Megaweapon to the brim with toys and delivered them to Salvation Army toy drive.

This is my 1st post and I’m recovering from Covid. Please be kind.
Today I took pictures of my simple modifications of a 2012 Limited 4Runner to share with you.
1. Replaced 16 lights with LED’s. I did not do the outside mirrors because I heard it is difficult and you might break them.
2. I call these phone catchers.
3. Glove box spacers. I had extras at work. They are plastic and easy to cut.
4. Put spacers in rear springs. Towing a 5000 lb boat, 7 passengers and stuff equals a GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of 6300 lbs. She sags no more.
5. Hung shovel, flashlight, and fire extinguisher. 1st aid kit and miscellaneous ammo box install.
6. Largest tires installed for a 2012 limited 4Runner. P275/55R20’s and chrome valve stem caps plus new mud flaps and a chrome muffler extension.
7. Under the hood LED light with a switch and a tool box. I saw wasted space next to the engine and had to put something there. My son ate this protein stuff that came in this big container and it fit snuggly. There was a bolt at the bottom that I undid drilled a hole in the bottom of the container and screwed it in place.
8. The dealer recoded my fob so when i hold down the unlock button all the windows including the sun roof go down. The rear hatch does not tho?
9. Found cheap crossbars for the roof rack on Amazon. I made a car top carrier out of 3 milk crates hose clamped (8) together.

Sorry finally got some pics of the Visors, they are just WeatherTech visors. Sure you have seen them before, but because you complained! Put some of the stickers on the tailgate that had been collecting on my dresser also. Have a good week everyone.

Yup -38. 285/70/17. Been rubbing like crazy till today. Still more cutting and hammering to do. At this point it’s a never ending project. Definitely looks better. Hopefully the aggressive offset will help push the body away from obstacles. Should definitely add some stability.

Guessing you don't have a bmc done? That's typical fitment/tire size. Not much is required to fit that. + caster is also your best friend and will most likely solve your rubbing towards the back of the wheel well.

We just got back from a trip thru Arkansas. We hit up Lake Catherine State Park, Hot Springs National Park, hit up some forest roads in Ouachita National Forest (ended up on top of Wildcat Mountain), Petit Jean State Park, Mount Nebo State Park, Devil's Den State Park, hit up some forest roads in Ozark National Forest (including finding an old cemetery with gravestones dating back to the early 1800s), Magazine Mountain (the highest peak in Arkansas), then found Nimrod Dam on the way back home to Louisiana.

The ORP did well enough with the factory Nitto TerraGraps, but there were some paths we didn't go down because we were out alone and really need more aggressive tires for the amount of mud that was on some of those paths. I did end up with the first ding on my factory skid plate. Can't wait for my Dobinsons kit to come in, then I can put some better tires (and my new wheels on)... and some better armor underneath.

This trip was kind of a scouting trip for the spring/ early summer. We found a lot of dispersed camping spots, some out of the way state campgrounds, and a bunch of other stuff we want to check out as well.

Probably mounted on a spare battery tray. That's how I mounted my air compressor in the same spot.

I used a C4 Fab battery tray and with a couple minor mods a Fat50 ammo can fits it like a glove and stores way more than you'd imagine. In my case a viair compressor, a tool roll, and various other emergency items. Not things I use every day, but available and easy to get to when I do need them.
