What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I wanted a very mild cut and mag4rnr did just that. He basically followed the bottom body line; the only thing cut is the bottom flap of the bumper.

I don't have a full side profile but the wheels are 17x8 -10 with 275/70s.

I agree. Not a fan of the overly aggressive cuts. This is what I'll be doing soon when I upsize the tires.

Used this winter weather as an excuse to stay in the garage and install the CBI front bumper. Nothing more therapeutic than taking a cutoff wheel to some perfectly good body work...

After trying almost everything in the book to find a decent phone holder, finally decided to just drill the dash for a permanent install. I had some success with the ProClip as seen in my other thread, but there were two issues: the air vent was blocked and even after a day the ProClip started leaning slightly in the direction of the nano arm. I don't know why I waited this long to drill (fingers crossed).

The MagMount G3 is no joke. It does not budge. I can plug in and disconnect my lightning cable with one hand - pushing or pulling does nothing to the phone.

I'm leaning this way too.

• Which base mount did you go with? Simple ball mount or diamond plate alternative?
• Are you using the iPhone with magsafe? Looks like that requires some metal trips to be installed inside the case.

Salem, Oregon had a BIG ice storm, trees and power lines down. No power at home since Friday. The T4 has been doing duty by keeping a small freezer at zero. Run it for a while every hour or two using the inverter to charge stuff and run the freezer. Looks like 2 or more days to go. Spending time with chainsaw. It gets crappy mileage, but up if we drive somewhere it goes up, like magic.

Totally not related to the photo... but I got tired of the 4runner lean. Left side was leaning 3/4" lower than the right. So I installed OME 10mm spacer in the left rear only... and now lean is virtually gone! The left side is still lower, but only by 3/16" now. I am content.

As a follow up to that horrible accident in Texas, I saw these and thought I'd put them here. It seems there were two FJ,s in this nightmare. They look almost totally crushed but the drivers walked away from both. Amazing.

I saw some helicopter footage of the big wreck and noticed a blue 4Runner was damaged but not destroyed.

played waiting game as mine sits at dealership waiting on Fox shock TSB parts...(and the shop is closed due to snow).....

at least they gave me a 4wd sr5 to play around with in the snow. Unable to help neighbors though, all recovery gear is in the back of the pro.

Look at this one. It looks like there isn't a panel on that Runner that isn't damaged plus it looks like every air bag is deployed. It's totaled.

Last week I crawled under to put my full skid plate back on, noticed gear oil everywhere around the front diff.. I dropped it off and just got the call that it was just the axle seals gone. Has been one thing after another with this truck for the past 3 months lol...

From what I understand, no, no drilling. I've added the LFD crossbars to mine with factor rails and I'm thinking about ordering the LFD side rails for this exact look.

It depends on what you will put up there. I am glad I went with the 7/8 over the 3/4 because when I am fully loaded for camping, the 3/4 would have been too small.

I put my Plano recovery case, traction boards, shovel, 4g Rotopax, foldable rocker camp chairs, EZ up (i know, i need an awning), my camp table, and firewood and it all fits great!

I did what you did, originally purchased 4 cross bars and then a year or so later, I upgraded to the 7/8 with additional cross bars. I love the LFD can allow you to build it as you need it instead of having to buy a full rack all at once.

- Installed N-Fab nerf steps taking off the stock runners (don't need sliders - yet)
- Installed RAM x-grip mount (double sided tape method, not drill)

Waiting on delivery of Sherpa rack.

Waiting on it to get a bit warmer to:

- install aforementioned Sherpa rack
- Install LED fogs
- Install C4 ladder and upgraded hatch lifts
- Relocate entune USB port behind dash to never have to look at it again
- Add double 3a USB ports to glove box for extra power
- wait for wallet to recover before next batch. Tires / wheels at some point
- Get beach tag to be able to drive on DE beaches
- Find place in SE PA to take it off road
