Yeah, thanks, I've always liked the styling just wanted them black. Finally picked some up used and had them powder coated and fitted the TRD pro center caps on them with some hand filing. I like the Pro caps better because they do not stick out as far as the TE caps.

Word of caution to those with a 2021, there is an (airbag?) sensor directly below the passenger side cup holder (my 2013 didn't have it). Luckily I didn't hit it with the drill and simply unbolted it and turned it sideways [emoji106]

And I wired in my amp/sub to the new rig [emoji51]
Damn it sounds good! Put Focal speakers in front and back, Rockford Fosgate in rear hatch. Between these and the sub I am quite happy with the sound now [emoji869][emoji41]

OK. Thanks for confirming! As soon as the weather warms up, I'll run to Harbor Freight for a heat gun and tackle this job. Same with the blacked out emblems. Going for the TRD Pro look on the cheap. ;)

Lastly (and mostly maybe) will be the TRD Pro wheels and maybe tires.

That might be an impact sensor, and turning it sideways might be the same as disconnecting it, as a rear impact won't trigger it. You might want to find a way to move it over and retain its original orientation.

They do look great. Kinda like the stock SR5 wheels on my 2019, I like the design but hated the silver so I painted them gloss black. They look so much better.

For now, only smaller, less expensive stuff. LOL.

Got some big trips coming (TN, Moab, Ouray, KOAR) with will take most of the funds.

Next year's goal will be re-gearing most likely.

Yeah yeah, I know. I got some self tapping screws and I'm going to move it over a few inches so it stays in its original orientation.
 
Blacked out my valances today. Got tired of having everything else blacked out from the dealership except them.

Waiting on Rav4 mirrors and skidplates now.

How did you black out your valances? Paint or vinyl? What color did you use? Also, what color is your 4Runner?

I'm about to embark on a similar task using matte black 3M vinyl.

Plastidip black, that way if I didn't like it or messed it up, I could just peel it off and try again.

Runner is Mag Grey Metallic.

Ok, thanks! I feel the same way about the vinyl. I can also re-wrap it if I mess up the job as there is plenty in the roll you get.

Mine is Midnight Black. I have the blacked out emblems awaiting warmer weather.

Also, got a Longacre tire pressure gauge for this car. Figured it was worth having one on hand.
 
Ordered the new design C4 rear skid plate, protects the transmission, transfer case and part of the exhaust, along with the TRD Pro integration plate with oil change access. Finally got around to extending my diff breather. I used a lot off amazing (the ARB knock off version) as I wasn’t using the hose I just wanted the fitting block and the filter. I used 5/16 brake line for mine as well as some Honda brake bleeders, weird I know but they are M10x1 and AN3 on the other side so they screwed in and had plenty to get the hose and clamp onto.

You can find the TRD Pro black valances on Ebay sometimes. I got mine for a low price from a dealer in Florida.
