What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Turns out that I may need to go that route. We just got our license plates and I put those on yesterday. I was curious to see what it looked like under the license plate mounting bracket and it turns out the dealer really messed up putting a screw into the hole. Oh well. I was hoping to get away without using my front license plate, but that nasty gash looks awful. So, once I wrap the valance, I may put the license plate back on. We'll see. Or, Plan B-Buy a new black valance and go that route.

Also programmed the HomeLink button.

Now, what do I do with the old transmitter? Keep one in the car anyways as backup or ??? What say you?

Bummer about that gash...I hate that dealerships treat our investments like shit.
I don’t carry the transmitter with me since the HomeLink is there. If for any chance HomeLink decides not to work I’d just use the front door.

Did the RAV4 mirror swap. So simple with much better visibility.

Also got my RCI A arm skids in, but I think I'm going to wait until the rest of the skidplates come in to put them on.

Almost went that route, but went with the same old setup we've had in our previous cars (although slightly different design). Much cheaper too!

Installed some air bags. Took a few hours to install and refine but I'm quite happy with the results. I didn't drop the axle and instead squeezed them through the gap in the springs. Used a reciprocating saw to cut the bump stop out in pieces. Took some muscle and maneuvering to get the bags inside the spring, but ultimately don't regret NOT dropping the axle.

I'm not sure. The cross reference listing I had showed 14-up 4Runner & 16-up Tacoma.

dang thats some commitment, stock springs fall out pretty easy... remove shock bottom mount, unhook sway bar, unbolt panhard from axle. for future reference:rockon:

Not today but 2 weeks ago I drug this thing home. Followed that up with a scangauge and Redarc trailer brake controller. I have some airbags waiting for install. Might try and tackle that tomorrow.

About to hit 30,000 so I did the driveline lube. All the oils. I re-geared and added a front locker about 20,000 miles ago so I had changed the differential oil after break-in . The front diff and transfer case could have gone another 10k easy, but the rear diff was ready.

I don't get how people put their bikes up top. Mostly, I'm fearful I would forget about it and hit my bike on a garage or something. But secondly, after a grueling ride, the last thing I would want to do is huck my bike up there. Not that they are overly heavy, I just love my platform rack and having to lift it a couple of feet vs over my head.

Either way, your rig looks awesome!

I installed new Shrockworks sliders. Since we're expecting our first this summer and this is her DD, my wife wanted something to help her reach over the carseat and maneuver better. This was an easy solution! Plus this will make accessing the RTT so much easier!

They bolted up quite easily. Support from Mark at Shrockworks was transparent and easy as well.

The Suma side mirrors did not fit the 10-13s so i doubt these would...
