Over the weekend I gave Megaweapon a good hand-wash and wax. I also noticed that most of the black trim and black painted items were starting to look dull and gray, so I restored them with Mequiar's "Ultimate Black".

The reflective tape I put on the rear bumper is faded and flaking apart. I need to find a way to remove the rest of it and replace it with better material.

The original floor mats in the front were in bad shape too so yesterday I replaced them with Husky Weatherbeater mats:

I decided not to use the rear mat. The original mat is still in excellent condition since I rarely have any back seat passengers. Plus I often keep things on the floor back there during trips, and with the carpeted mats stuff doesn't slide around as much as it would with the all-weather mats.

So... if anyone in the San Diego area would like a free Husky rear mat, just let me know.

This looks like a good tool. Is it ok to use on painted plastic?
I usually heat up a sticker with a hair dryer, then remove as much of it as possible with a fingernail. Old crusty ones usually break into pieces so I put fresh gorilla tape on top and try pulling more pieces off. Then a solvent like naphtha (white gas-Coleman fuel). Some people use WD40 or Goo Gone. Then clean it up with isopropyl alcohol.
It can take multiple attempts to remove it all.

Nothing all that great. Installed a Hi-Lift mount on my roof basket and put the jack on it. Changed tires over to some Wranglers from the stock ones. Next week the brush guard and off-road lights go on.

Oh, put black overlays over the Toyota emblems and SR5 emblem and the "4Runner" across the back.

try to put the shovel on the opposite side of the rack this weekend.

On day 3, of trip 2, of having my new paint corrected.

Toyota corp was informed with two videos I took (one before the first paint correction, second after the job performed), showing the the paint was indeed worse after they had worked on it.

They emailed me with a case # today to call in to add more details, and after almost 30 minutes they let me know they were escalating to regional something-rather and I would receive an additional call in the next 24hrs.

Suffice to say these first couple of months have been cumbersome; starting with a trip to the dealer (which is out of town) for the alignment being wrong at 4 miles (I presume the issue is with being aligned in Japan, then having TRD Pro parts added at port) and now more than once for paint; but I will perceiver.

edit: forgot to add, this last time I went in about the paint, the sales manager asked the salesman helping me "Was there a mark-up on this vehicle?".. to which I interrupted and said "you guys pride yourselves on being a no mark-up dealer" ... to which he tried telling me to "relax"... You can see how this lead me to contact corp.

I have not tried plastic but I don't see why it wouldn't be. The basic idea is that it uses friction to remove the sticker but it is too soft to mark the tape.

And it is fast! I bought it when I was trying to get a few stickers off a car using the fingernail method. Put it on a drill, brrrrrrr for about 15 seconds, clean up with some isopropyl, done.

I've used it on the 4Runner too and worked fine.

I understand your situation. I ran into the same thing, only it was the suspension “clunk” prevalent on 19/20s. Ignore those who try to tell you how to use your truck and how it should look or perform. You are the customer and the mistake was made outside of your possession, it’s on them to make it right.

I had a long battle with Toyota, but ultimately the community ended up with a TSB to replace the faulty front shocks.

Cytronus, at first I was planning to use Anytime Backup Camera, but I didn't like that is uses relay for the camera switching. Also it does not provide priority for the backup camera when reversing and front camera is active. I have ordered following camera controller as well as camera module and partially built HUD harnesses from Aliexpress. If you do not want to build plug-in harness, you could just tap into existing HUD wiring.
