That looks fantastic! Did you do the work yourself or is there a guy somewhere that does them? I'm really thinking on doing the LED Projector mod but unsure if I feel comfortable with taking apart the headlights. Bummed that the Alpharexs don't let you use your own leds

I got them done by Evil Headlights | Custom Retrofitting Service in Southern California

As I don't feel comfortable taking them apart and using the wifeys oven to get them to open.

Headed up 395. Saw sign for lookout mtn. Drove up mtn (really a small hill). Looked out. Drove down. Continued on my way. 1st time I got to run in 4wd. Prob didn’t need to, but, when in Rome (or Mono co.)

Heading down 395 from Oregon to Victorville/Apple Valley next week!

Should run in 4WD every month for a few miles.

AlphaRex is fcking garbage. bought them in a rush to find a quick replacement before a 2 month road trip. terrible in every single way. I need to ditch them for a quality retro-fit headlight.

Installed a 12volt Solutions remote starter on my 2021 ORP.

It depends on where you think the 4runner needs the power.

Procharger will make more power up top as it acts more like a turbo than an actual blower.

Magnuson will make most of its torque in the bottom and power thru out the power band and tapers off at redline.

I personally think that the magnuson would make the 4runner more of a joy to drive around town. Because it will be more responsive to the throttle input.

As for the 7psi vs 6psi ... its negligible as once it gets cooled in the air to air intercooler and travel all that way thru the charge pipes ... the 1psi difference wont make a difference. Depending on the efficiency of the intercooler that 7psi might be 6psi when it enters the intake manifold.

Thanks so much for the info! Really appreciate you taking the time. My biggest concern is having enough low end to make the daily trip up our mountain... We live in a log home about 5,000 ft. up in the Smokies and it's a pretty steep climb. Sounds like from what you describe that the Magnuson unit would be the way to go....we need the low end boost mostly. On a related subject, I saw on your recent post where you were replacing "Rocky's" lights that you have an aftermarket bumper on your 4R. Would you be willing to share what piece this is and where you got it? The reason I ask is that in addition to adding some umph to the motor, we're thinking of installing a Stage 2 Icon lift with 295's. Looks like you have a similar size lift and tires....By replacing the front bumper, did you avoid having to do a BMC? Sounds like you're one of the guys here that's "in the know" ...sorry if I'm bugging you!

I have a subaru that has remote start, but it requires the vehicle to shut off and restarted before being able to drive off.

I went with the Falken Wildpeaks 275/70/17. I figured a C-rated tire would be better than an E-rated tire from a harshness perspective. Had to move the fender liner forward a bit to keep them from rubbing.

Dropped the C4 lo-pro bumper off at LineX. Guy walked me through their coating process and I was impressed. And $50 for the UV protection coat seems worth the cost. Less weight than what I was quoted for a powdercoat job. 1 week to pick back up, then time to install bumper + lightbar + winch.

Unfortunately it does shut off when opening the front or rear doors. It will not shut off if the back hatch is opened. Installation was simple with the most time consuming part being removal of the interior parts. It was a 100% plug n play and works great.

That's funny. I thought they were "the ones to get." Personally, I hate the look of aftermarket headlights anyway especially for that price tag. Too each his own.
