Greased my Delta Joint!!!

I was under the misconception that these things were maintenance free. But that wasn't the case.

I'm a maintenance freak anyway. I used my Grease Gun filled with Redline CV2 synthetic grease.

Ordered DirtKing LCA's about 6 weeks back, they got them fabricated quick and arrived Friday. My driver's side LCA has been experiencing consistent issues and two separate quality 4x4 shops confirmed I would benefit from a swap. Install this Wednesday, will toss up some pictures. Also going to pull off the sway bar and see how that feels.

First trail ride

Took the family on a nearby ridge trail called Otay mountain Truck trail. Beautiful day for our first proper trail ride in Olaf, the 4runner.

Mild 20-ish mile trail with a few ruts but nothing difficult on the main trail. VERY scenic. Took a couple moderate offshoots for the fun of it, and blasted a few big puddles.

We paused at Doghouse junction for a snack break, and to try out our Ironman awning and privy shelter. The shade was welcome, and the wind was refreshing at the top. My family is all ladies (#girldad) and the new “popup” privy shelter worked great to make off-roading very comfy for them).

Saw a ton of Border Patrol agents, since we were only about 2 miles from the border. All were very polite, and went out of their way to keep us safe on this single track trail, by scooting over, backing up, etc.

We spent about 3-4hrs on the trail, just fyi. Great 1/2 day intro trail for newbies like us.

Order placed end of Feb 21, just delivered Oct 8, 2021, and installed today. Installation was pretty easy, and was able to do so without any help. Thankful I got it before my fishing trip next month.

Finished fabrication design on my custom made front bumper. Took me a few different designs until I found the beast look for under the headlight area. Weld it up tomorrow. $2000 if you want one.

lol I did the same thing when I first set it up. That clear piece is actually just supposed to be used to clean that area where you're going to be sticking the camera to. Realized it when I read the manual while taking a shit.

Kind of like the sticky thing for screen protectors to get the dust specs off? I thought it was static cling. I've got a clear UV film on the windshield so I put it on to keep from damaging it.

The Stealth rack arrived today and I installed it. Then it got dark, so fairing and ladder in the morning.
