Got my new suspension parts piled up + psyched up for the installation this week!
JBA UCA's arrive tomorrow...
Nice nice, I’m in the same boat lol hopefully can get to the install sometime this week, just waiting on uca’s, skid plate, front coils and caliper covers back from powder coating. Hopefully this week. Enjoy and have with your install[emoji1688]

Did the center console wiring/panel for media connections/power outlets/Mag safe dock.
Mapped out the panel area so I have template file available + console removal instructions if anyone needs.
Looks nice. Can you provide more detail on the connections? What is the HDMI connected to? What are some use case scenarios?

Same thing happened to me. Just 10k miles on it. But I was stupid and took it to one of those huge tunnel machines thinking , oh they must have soft brushes. Took it in, the brushes malfunctioned and got hung up, I knew then it was done for. A week later I noticed all the scratches. Not terribly bad but visible in spots and down the side. I took it back to the wash, they reviewed the camera and ultimately paid to get it fully buffed, waxed, ceramic coated and it looked amazing. Lasted about a year before the ceramic coat faded off. I still have light scratches on the corners where the brushes hit. The sad thing is you can only really see it in black vehicles and so many people take their cars into those tunnel wash machines. I have to remind the dealer each time I take it in for service not to wash, or vacuum it, for these exact reasons.

Did they do the tedious paint correction prior to the ceramic coating? That’s what really makes all the difference, even if the ceramic starts to fade. My coating is still great after 3 years. The only car wash I go to is the high pressure DIY, and usually just to wash of mud or heavy dirt after off road adventures.

I use my 4500nex Headunit for several different things and the breakout panel really facilitates some of the media/power features:
1. Wireless CarPlay - allows me to just start it and phone>CarPlay>4runner connect automatically. which handles daily functions, map, phone, audio, TV/Movies, Spotify, XM/Sirius, Back cam, Front Cam, Calendars, etc.
2. the HU allows switching the Video 2 input to a 2nd camera input. which is why I am adding the new front facing cam. I also like that it allows me to view any of my camera views at anytime, back cam comes in handy for checking in on trailer/towing
3. I don't love a ton of stuff on my dash, so I love that the panel gives access to high speed HDMI input to the NEX screen which I have used for stuff like pulling live weather, traffic reports, streaming Netflix,hulu, YouTube, att tv, Connecting iPads + computers to display real time info from Google/map routes, to satellite views, to restaurant reviews of a given area.
4. I have also used it quite a bit with my GoPro, Drone, image/Video Cams + iPad to review just taken footage+pix, It's kinda fun to be a able to review with the whole crew in real time at the end of the day.
5. the USB ports also serve several purposes:
the one on the HDMI outlet goes to usb input1 on the NEX for direct charging+HU interface. the audio fidelity is supposed to be better which is pretty much why I use it. Usb input 2 goes to the OEM dash location. So I can use to plug in usb drives for additional movies/videos/images/animations. which comes in really handy for road trips, camping, Blizzards, I-70 Traffic, that kinda thing. the HU allows for 2 USB drives in addition to the SD card input behind the screen.
6. The 2nd usb outlets are only 12v power, Most of my gear is USB-c so I have been converting things to this standard as much as possible where I can. they are set to always on so I can charge devices with the runner off.
7.The subwoofer level knob was added because I hated the box it came in and that kicker under the seat can really shave the vehicle, nice to be able to adjust down with the quickness.
8. Lastly, I Like that I can just drop the phone on Apple Mag charger, and its both securely attached + wirelessly charging at 20v. Keeps the cabin clean.
Other stuff:
I like that I can take a screen shot on my phone and it captures the NEX screen simultaneously to your photos, has come in handy for music, directions, screen info I might need to reference later.
The maestro RR2 while allowing customization/retention of all hem steering wheel buttons, also has a great feature where it will display real time vehicle info to the screen that is not normally available

Rear Brakes at 94K
Hit 94K and was ready to do complete brakes but when I pulled everything off I still had 6mm on front pads and rotors looked good so put the front pads on the shelf. Rear pads were at 3.5mm so I went ahead and did a pad swap - rotors looked good. Lots of research on parts and ended up with Akebono Pro-Act ceramic pads. Will see how well they hold up.

Dang, Just ordered mine a month ago and got it in this week. 4 week turn around doesn't seem bad in the current market! Waiting another maybe 6 for a top half behind the seat Raingler net to contain this big dude and his RuffLand kennel is another 10 weeks. Ugh.
Regardless, this Canvasback is a pretty sweet piece. Went with the standard black with red stitching to match the interior. My dog went nuts when I opened it. Didn't know there would be dog treats buried in it. Nice customer service touch, Canvasback.

BTW, on a recent road trip the low gas light went on, range display said 21 miles. I drove 20 miles to a gas station, display said 1 mile left. Filled up, clicked off at 20 gallons, I squeezed in 0.25 more. Forgot to look at range after that.
In the Toyota owner manual it says
“ Low fuel level warning light
Indicates remaining fuel is approximately 3.5 gal. (13.1
L, 2.9 Imp. gal.) or less”
Based on my experience I’d agree that a 3.5 gallon reserve is correct. However I don’t know if all of that would be available to burn.
