Yea, I'll be unscrewing the cap from the jug in the store from now on. Who even knew this was a thing? I've been changing my own oil for almost 40 years and never ran into this before.

Mid oil change, I discovered that some lowlife slimeball had returned a jug of Mobile 1 to Walmart, after he emptied it of the new oil and refilled it with his used oil (eewwww). Walmart then put that jug back on the shelf, where...you guessed it...I bought it. Who does this?

I had drained the 4Runner of all of its oil, changed the filter, buttoned everthing up and went to refill it, and when I opened the cap to the jug, I just couldn't believe what I saw. It was one of those extended WTF moments. Broken seal and black oil. Then I thought, what am I gonna do now? I can't drive or move the 4Runner.

I had to put the 4Runner in neutral and push it in my driveway to get it out of the way so I could get the Supra out of the garage to drive it to Walmart (something I avoid at all costs usually). [1st world problems]

This was my second time as I pulled the ones off my 2019 previously and had them wrapped. I did the front without pulling the bumper, and discovered that eight-year-old nylon trim clips that are hard to reach are a lot stiffer than new ones. Ow. If anyone in the SoCal area wants some slightly scuffed silver valances to experiment with they are free for pickup. Also have a NIB never used OME 10mm spacer (aka trim packer) if anyone wants it.

I want to vinyl wrap my front and rear valences in Flat Black. Can you tell me what film did you buy and where? how much film is needed. I would probably pull them off the car to wrap.

Took out the old bottle jack and replaced it with one that will lift the truck off the ground!!! On that note, anyone wanna factory Toyota jack with bars!!! Currently in flagstaff!!

Installed the AGM GM Diode Mod this afternoon. All seems well and charging at 14.3v. Should be a little higher tomorrow morning after sitting overnight as I just pulled in.

I did this a while back and have had no issue. I did have the alternator go out about 1-2 yrs later but Im not sure if it’s related

Real work for the Runner

The woods have finally dried out and my son and I cut down a big ole' maple that was dangerously looming over their swimming hole. Filled up the back (with plenty of room to spare) with chainsaws, safety equipment (of course), ropes, chains, cant, log lifter... Drove home with a pretty good load (we ran out of time). Up his woods road and home. She kept wanting to go 70 on the highway! Woah there 21 Premium.

They only come in the bare aluminum and red lettering. I yanked the letters, painted it black, and put white letters on it.

Installed a FREE Yakima slim shady awning. Brother just upgraded to a promaster conversion van. He had this on his mini van and had only used twice. Had to buy the frontrunner mounts. Don't know if I will really use it, I usually carry an ez-up....but I figure for basically free I will try it out.
