What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

IN the event they total it......You should remove your roof rack and keep for replacement or sell it. Likely they will not give you "credit" towards the value of it. Also, you may already know this, but if totaled, you don't necessarily have to take what the insurance co offers. They will likely offer "book" value and as you know in todays market, the value can be much higher. My personal experience was that you can find similar year and mileage vehicles listed and submit those to increase your value if they are low balling you.

Thanks - yes, having been through a totaled vehicle before I am aware of these challenges. There are a handful of items in addition to the rack that I would like to pull off in the event the car is totaled. I have USAA and they were really easy to work with the last time - I actually was paid out more than I purchase the vehicle new for the first time around (and I had put 8k miles on it over about 10 months).

I have a sneaking suspicion this one won't be totaled and I will be in for a long repair process.

I feel your pain brother,, I just wrecked mine, though not as bad. I took/taking my time to plan the right outcome. I'm glad i didnt rush into any decisions.

Thankfully, you didn't hurt your family or anyone else. That's what I kept telling myself. That alone is powerful.

Good luck to you and prayers!

Appreciate that, thankful no one was physcially injured. A car is a car, easily replaced.

Drove up from Delaware to pa to reinstall my sliders
Forgot mounting pieces
Trying to salvage the day
Cheap Headlight mod
Is the “basic” what I’m looking for ($12 each)
Or what I got at $45

received the TRD pro shift knob this evening and installed it. The black on black looks great and feels solid and tad bigger than stock. Would recommend it considering it

Time to get the boat out

In addition to hauling out another load of firewood (see previous post), it's time to get the boat out!!

Detailed it and then wrecked it 1 hour later!
Happened last friday...been wrapping head around stupid, careless mistake, and being mad at self so it took some time to calm down. First careless accident I can recall. Anyways, I finished work around noon so I took about 3 hours to fully detail her for the long weekend. I haven't cleaned her in about 3 months. I was so proud of her i took a picture and was going to let my gf take her to the gym. (She likes driving it) Anyways, I was getting my mail and parked in the building garage. Forgot about the yellow steel/concrete bollard right in front of me....brain was fully in weekend mode. Pulled straight into it!!!. NOOO!!!!! Trail scratches and trail damage don't bother me, but an absolute careless mistake made it really bothersome, kinda ruined my weekend.
Anyways messed up front bumper cover and driver fender. Luckily have my lc100 backup dd until I get it fixed.

Full service wash before taking the wife and pup for a windows-down ride. Also filled up at 4.39 and aired up the tires. Gotta maximize that MPG!

Technically not today, it was last week. But finally got around to the after pics for comparison.

5100's front and back, OME 2884s front, Icon 52700s rear.
Net result - ~2.75" front, ~2" rear

Before

After

Dipped my emblems bronze to match my eventual wheel upgrade and installed Lasfit LEDs tiurn signals on the front and rear. Left signal on the rear is factory and right is lasfit.

upgraded to morimoto's: not everyone's cup of tea, but wanted the brighter taillights, and they are bright. Little to no wash out even in full sunlight.

Upgraded my fairlead and took my winch hook off. I live in a high crime area and someone in the past damaged my fairlead with a screw driver when they tried to steel the winch hook.

Upgraded winch hook to absolute nothing. I put a winch line cap on it.

Installed a TRD Pro valance and heritage grill today on the wife's 4R and went for a cruise to get coffee and enjoy some trails after.

Honestly had fun installing this, and owning a performance shop means it fun cutting into bumpers of expensive vehicles, LOL.

Did a shakedown run today after installing a full set of skids and sliders. I’m getting a big clunk on the trail when bouncing up and down. Might be the diff, not sure.

Filled up the tank a week ago and wanted to see what was possible when driving using the Eco Mode, without much thought for conserving fuel I was getting around 17.0MPG combined, now, trying to stay around center of the Eco bar at all times I'm getting 20.2 Avg in my same combined drive thru a half tank. Acceleration from lights etc, is painfully slow and I'm doing a lot of coasting whenever possible in my attempt to maintain these numbers. But I'm also noticing that many others around me also seem to be somewhat embracing a new conversation mode themselves and I don't seem to be pissing that many people off.

Not really one for sleeping in the car much, but doing a road trip next month and wanted the option. Turns out an old corner desk I had is a damn near perfect fit, haha. Impromptu sleeping platform and the perfect spot left in the cargo area for a cooler. Happy little accidents
