created a nifty storage case for my viair and a manifold with some spare air fittings I had lying around. no more alligator clips tangling when it's stored or dirt and crap getting into a manifold or compressor. the viair bag it came with doesn't offer any protection. much easier to port around and use for other things other than tires. the green air line quick disconnects at the compressor so you can use the compressor without the manifold. exterior dimensions of the case are (L x W x H): 14.3 × 11.1 × 4.7” so it doesn't take up much room at all

case - nanuk 910. I needed as low profile a case as I can get because I wanted to be able to store in a rooftop cargo box. that case is the minimum size you can use to fit everything, you can obviously go bigger. green hose, plus battery cables all fit no issues or cramming. you can tuck the battery cables in at the top and it all fits. you need to be strategic with the layout though, I have room to change the filter, access the power switch and made sure there's enough room at the top of the compressor housing for air escape. I mounted the manifold as close to the front edge as possible. bigger cases will allow more flexibility

the compressor is viair 400p-auto. I took the sand tray off the bottom and repositioned the metal feet, note you have to reverse the 8 hex head cap screws. the capped nuts go on the inside but I had to move them to the outside to fit the m8 mounting hardware (my viair has exactly m8 sized holes on the feet). I also took off the quick connect plug and replaced with a 90 degree elbow and brass quick connect plug so the connection is easier to get to. note do not put a female quick connect on, this is a safety issue, keep the plug

mounting hardware compressor: 4 m8 35mm bolts (I think they are 35, but 30 will also work), 4 nuts, 4 washers for the compressor. there is 1/4" rubber isolator strip under each compressor mount. EPDM washers under the bolt heads on the bottom of the case for weatherproofing

mounting hardware for the manifold: 1/8" thick aluminum flat, it's about 12" long, two m6 30mm hex cap bolts with EPDM washers under heads. two m6 washers and 13mm of nylon spacer, m6 serrated bolts to secure the aluminum flat

manifold: viair manifold. I used a winter's 2" PSI gauge (just fits) and you can see the various couplings I used along with the flexzilla hose. there are 1/8" rubber feet on the bottom of the case because the bolts heads are just a tad too tall on the bottom of the case. there are two valves which will allow you to shut off the air into tires or whatever you are inflating to get an accurate PSI as well as to also allow air out or have a male plug for other accessories

Turns out that I have just the lowly Viair 88P compressor, so this wouldn't be worth the effort on my end. Your setup looks very similar to the boxed unit offered by ARB. Nice work.

Mocked it up a few months back with some cardboard and then made them out of aluminum

They're just pieces of aluminum bolted down to the wheel well tie-down and then painted black. Hope to eventually grind down the excess welds a bit and get them powder-coated though

There isn't a door, it just has an open top. Essentially just a three sided piece to make the wheel wells into a little box to put crap in

Drivers side box has my first aid kit, portable air pump, various tie down straps, window mesh covers (for car camping), extended leash and collar for the pup, and a collapsible bowl (again, for the pup)

Passenger side box has a couple water bottles (for pup), towel, small tool kit, and portable battery jump box

No custom sub, just using the stock Limited subwoofer

Not really one for sleeping in the car much, but doing a road trip next month and wanted the option. Turns out an old corner desk I had is a damn near perfect fit, haha. Impromptu sleeping platform and the perfect spot left in the cargo area for a cooler. Happy little accidents

Diagnosed a front end clunk (skid plate fitment), installed Whiteline sway bar bushings, installed OCD front sway bar end links, touched up the powder coating on the ladder, and reattached the awning for camping season. I still need to install the OCD rear sway bar end links and get the Durobumps installed in the back but overall it was a pretty productive weekend.

Just curious, how was the skid plate causing the clunk? I’m trying to hunt down and kill a front end clunk as well.

Are you using stock rotors? I did all 4 corners w/ akebono pads and stock rotors.... they wore down to the screamers with in 9 months. Mostly highway driving. Pretty sure i read some where that akebono's don't play nice w/ the stock rotors when I was trying to figure out what happened.
