Threw on some 4Runner Lifestyle Carbon mirror caps. I thought they were complete replacements but they are stick on. Still look cool tho

Avid sea kayaker here - I would love to know more about that bowline bracket. I've been just using the j-hook and running that to the passenger side front tie-down for the time being.

Installed my bowline brackets, my Gobi elevation crossbars and my Thule Hullavator. Still working out kinks with Hullavator and round bars.

Cruised around the mountains of Western Colorado and tried to catch fish, but they alluded us again.

New KDSS sway bar clamps to replace the factory hose clamp style clamps. This keeps the sway bar from shifting side to side as it's known to do when you abuse the truck. Also installed sway bar adaptor blocks to the lower control arms. these reposition the bushings so theyre in the neutral position when you put a 2-3" lift on it. They also push the sway bar forward a little and should reduce the spring rate a touch, giving it a bit more plush ride when the system is "on".

Install consisted of loosening 8 17mm bolts, floor jack under the piston to relieve tension, a rubber mallet to smack the shit outta the sway bar to center it, drill 2 1/8" deep pilot holes for the set screws on the sway bar clamps, and bolting up the adaptor blocks to the LCA's. cut the hooks off the OEM mount. bolt the bar back up and tighten the 4 bolts holding it to the frame/KDSS piston. easy install, literally took an hour.

Swapped out the SPC UCAs for JBA. One of the bushings was worn on the SPC so I decided to try JBA instead of replacing the bushings. I had the SPC UCAs for a little over a year and didn't wheel hard. I'm hoping I have better luck with JBA!

2 days ago: Installed an ARB awning on my UpTop rack (used the uptop mounts), and threw on my shovel + fuelpaxx. Currently near East Glacier and ready to head in for 3 days.

So for anyone who doesn't know - because I sure didn't - you now need a vehicle pass to drive on the Going To The Sun road. Opens at 0800 mountain time with about 850 passes available. Vehicle pass is good for 3 consecutive days. The North Fork also requires a pass, and is for 1 day. As one can imagine, at 0800 it's a shit show of people trying to get a vehicle pass. What a mess.

Nah they're real carbon fiber. They are basically covers you peel off the 3M tape off of the back and snap over the existing mirror cap. I'm curious to see how they hold up

Dropped my 4r off at body shop yesterday for the front end repair. Rented a jeep wrangler Sahara....will be interesting to see how it feels (drove it straight to airport) ...landed in Chicago and rented a taco trd off road....
So I guess its test drive week.
