secondly, like that add on...looking that up right now.
My addition to the thread, some well needed scheduled maintenance.
oil change, filters change, saw how rusty my bash-plate is getting, so an aluminum one will be on order on the other side of the winter months...and rotated my tires...
its a wonderful thing to wrench your fav vehicle on a wonderfully beatiful Autumn afternoon, 65 degrees, no bugs, touches of sunshine and shadow on my quiet street.

What I did this weekend
Went up into the pine trees this weekend to do some stargazing. Was foiled by clouds, but got to have fun working with my 4Runner. I put an OVS 180 Awning on the 4Runner and tried out the walls with it. Here's a video I shot of it, and I'll attach some photos too.

Installed the AMD with OldRed's harness. Easy install.
The AMD itself is now available from Toyota after being unavailable in the states for like a year or two.

Took about a week of intermittent work, but I finally finished up my front fender cuts to fit the 35s. You don't notice it at a glance, but I've got about an extra 1.5" more space at the rear of the fender and .5" to 1" more at the top of the fender. No more crunching fenders for me!
Overall, I'd give this a 6/10 on difficulty. It's honestly not hard, but talking yourself into taking an angle grinder to a perfectly good fender takes some gumption.

Did part of Section 3 of the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route (WABDR) with a group of friends for a buddy's bday. This section starts in Ellensburg, winds up through the Cascade Mountains, and eventually drops down into Wenatchee. Some epic views from up there and we got above all that wildfire smoke/ash. Made it halfway and decided it was best to turn around, as there were multiple points on the trail that got super tight due to some fallen trees. We had some larger rigs with us - a Ram 2500 Prospector XL AEV, Chevy Silverado Duramax, and a lifted F150 Crew Cab. There was no way the Ram would have made it through without sustaining damage.

front rotors and pads. stocks made it 75k miles, pads had some life left but the rotors were warped pretty bad. going to have the stock rotors turned and use them next time when these vatozone rotors wear.

Modified my Rokblokz so they won't get ripped off my bumper every time I drive over a rock bigger than my fist. Cut off the bottom 6 or 7" and attached some 3/16" rubber in its place. Functional, meets WA state requirements for mudflaps, and I think they look pretty good too.

What does this do?
It's an accessory display above the radio that is more than just a clock. Range, outside temp, compass, and clock. it also flashes across the MTS selection when you choose it from up above. I believe it was orange in the Trail Editions from 10-13 and one year in blue in 2014. A member OldRed made a harness for people to install the blue ones, if they could get them, into their later years. At least I think that's the story.
I got lucky and the previous owner actually installed one in my 2018. Just dumb luck that my dealer had my 4R on the lot when I was buying with the completely rare display in it. I thought it was normal until someone pointed it out here a few months ago.
