Due to the site sustaining permissions issues for threads with 100+ pages, I'm starting this new thread for you guys. I can merge the threads together at some point, if the issue every gets fixed.

Enjoy

Replaced the reverse lights with bright LEDs...replaced the burned-out rear license plate bulbs...fixed the door sensor so that the cabin light turns on and off in the "door" selection.

Gave him a much needed wash. Cleaned all the windows. Then just plopped in my favorite chair and just chilled with the runner.

I replaced all the parts in the fuel tank. New pump, sender assembly, and suction tube assembly. I did the pump for preventive maintenance. The others I did for fuel gauge accuracy. As soon as I started it up after I replaced everything my fuel gauge went up a good amount and is much more accurate now. It was about 2-3 gallons off before. I would fill up when my fuel light was on before and it'd be about 12-13 gallons. Now it was 16 gallons.

Had some success, had some failure.

2000 SR5 4WD, auto, non locker, 265/70R16, 148K.

Needed suspension upgrade. Got a kit with 5100's, 880 front/906 rear.

For the rear, new rear upper and lower control arms, panhard bar bushings, and sway bar end links.

The front was just going to get the loaded struts until I can get the balance of suspensions parts (UCA, LCA, LBJ, UBJ, inner/outer tie rods, etc).

Anyway, the rear parts went in, with some issues, but everything went in. Got about 2.5" of lift on the rear. Did that on Saturday.

I could not get the front driver's side inner strut nut off. I figure this was the hardest one and if I can't get it by noon today, it's game over because I need the vehicle tomorrow. I tried for about 2-3 hours. Bought a dremel, tried to get a carbide bladed multi-tool in there, nothing worked. The dremel almost got it but I went through six little cutting discs.

Since the front struts were a fail....I did the rear pinion seal, which was leaking pretty bad.

Before and after. Yes, It's got a little rake....

spartacus thanks for catching that, meant plopped but got autocrocted. I can assure you there was no pooping lol!

I added some snake oil friction modifier to the ATF to not really help at all with the factory '96 box coping with all the extra power for over a decade...

Slips a bit less, might save some fuel

Imthebull I too had issues with t-stats. Even oem, finally got a good oem one that worked perfectly, with the jiggle valve at the 6 o'clock position or on the bottom. You running a oem t-stat?

I live in a world of rockauto boxes and cheap parts, so unfortunately not. ATP I just drilled a hole in the T-stat and it still overheats :(

The aisin thermostat on rock auto is good. How is the condition of the radiator? How's the fan clutch? When was the last time you did a coolant flush?
