Tis the season. Well, almost anyway.
Just understand that they generally run this online eBay special twice a year, once in mid October, once in March.
So if you are trying to plan a build out, you can use these dates to try to plan around saving some money.

How did your bug deflector attach? I got one from my cousin and I think it uses body clips but I'm not sure.

You can get the factory mounting kit from Toyota for really cheap. It comes with screws and plastic washers and even has the sticky rubber nipples to keep it from flexing to hood.

I like that idea. My local parts guy had no idea what to order though. Anyone got a part number? I couldn't find one on any diagrams.

Got snowed out at work today so I took care of some stuff around the house. Part of that was a trip to the hardware store to get some metal z60 grinding discs. I'm repainting the fascia and decided to strip it completely. Those things are the best paint remover around.
Anyway, on the way home I spotted a 98 Desert Dune parked in the local for sale spot. I whipped a u-turn and checked it out. It's 4wd Auto with 257,000 miles on the clock. Guys asking $3500/OBO. It's got faded paint. A really small ding in the rear hatch that someone tried to patch. The ding probably looked better. Passenger upper cv boot is torn and it's got the usual oil leak from the valve covers.
I'm thinking about calling the guy and taking it for a spin. I don't really need another rig but I could just give it to the wife and get my rig back. lol

Yesterday actually, but got the Borla Muffler installed. Been waiting 8 years for mine to finally start to come apart so I could order a new one!!!!
I got the XR-1 40942, and I really like it. You have no idea how many You Tube clips I've listened to over the years and how many notes I've taken to narrow it down to this one. Glad I did though!

Looks good! I was planning on installing my window shades today once the UPS guy arrived. Was bummed when I opened the package and they sent me ones for a Kia instead. Dangit

Its the Auto Ventshade 23041 Smoke Colored Bugflector, Amazon $41.
It was like 4(maybe 6, don't remember) push in screw types, the holes are under the lip of the hood. And then 4 small little protector type plastic that stick on the hood. There is no way its touching the front of the hood, but if someone was to lean on it it could.

Thanks. I was debating on the in-channel or the stick on ones, the stick on ones are just to easy to install and i think look pretty good on the truck. They blend in nice with the silver color

Got some Yokohama Geolander At LT265/75/16 installed.
Alignment (Chets in Abq is amazing!)
Greased drive shaft. (Klunk in slip joint went away)

Wow, super nice. I need tires but will try and make it through the winter. Can you please explain to me the steps to greasing of the drive shaft. In Reverse, and its not all the time, but sometimes it feels like it binds up and does not want to move, even after giving it some gas it will shudder. I have to put into forward then back into reverse for it to back up smoothly. Unless I have a different issue altogether.
