Yes!! I parked my 4runner from being my daily driver for many years. Had a $15k budget for a new car. Wanted a 4 door luxury car the kids and wife would be comfortable in. Really wanted a v8 rwd platform and 6 speed manual. Only logical car was the 1st gen Caddilac CTS-V (4 door zo6). Has the Vettes ZO6 LS6 5.7L V8 making 400hp/400tq and 6 speed tremec manual transmission. Was Caddys first super sedan.
Spent a good 6 months looking for it. Super rare with low mileage. Got mine luckily local about 60miles from me.

I have driven a Hennessey supercharged SS manual. Not sure I would ever drop that kind of $$ on a car upgrade but if I win the lotto, then yes, one will be mine. Love the exhaust tone on that car.

FINALLY got around to putting some time and money into mine.
New battery (sat so long unused the old one died)
New ARB front bumper and winch
New OE upper balls joints, lower ball joints and lower control arm bushings
Alignment
OE water pump, timing kit, thermostat and radiator
Some LED interior lights
NGK ignition cables
Rola roof rack
Drawers are in progress but aren't done yet. Really slow going on that project.
The Blizzak tires will go on tonight for the upcoming winter. Will upgrade to 265/75-16 in the spring. I also need to start looking for a new rear bumper. Thinking tube or plate. Also need to get new front shocks and new springs all around. Rear is sagging and I want to lift it an inch or two.
Put about $3000 into it over the last month. At 225k and hoping to get another 100k out if it.

How’s the insurance on one of those? I’ve been wanting a new daily and a SS is high on the list, but the thought of the cost of body parts on such a limited production car from Australia makes me think it wouldn’t be cheap. Even though I’m in my mid 30s with no accidents or tickets, it still probably costs a pretty penny.

I would have gotten one of those if cheaper manual and not so hard to find. Guy on forum has one supercharged eating hell cats. He calls it the "the wannabe V". It's bad ass!

My V was $20 cheaper than my wifes 2012 Tacoma.

I've seen the Hennessey package, I think that's the video I saw where Onstar calls and asks if everything is ok after they did a launch.
It's amazing the potential that LS platform has.

We looked at the V's when we were shopping, 640 HP. what's not to like about that. we were shopping new, and price killed it. plus it's my wife's daily, It was just too much money and car.
With the SS low #'s and such a non descript car is pretty cool,
It's been called an Impala, Malibu, hell even a Cruze at one point.
Dual exhaust and big red brakes always brings a question, and the pop in the pipes when you start it...
I still love all of the V series Cadillacs though.

Surprisingly not as bad as I thought, it's not a hot rod per se, It comes in as a sport sedan, 4 doors saves you!!!
But 12K imported over 4 years, and mine is one of under 3000 for this year. And 1 of 180 outfitted this way. so there is some serious pucker when we choose what to drive.
Guys on the SS forums are hording parts, with a borderline obsession.
The caddies are a much more visible car. and better known.
Sorry for the derail guys, Back to T4R talk, we can take this somewhere else.

We got one rolling around with loud pipes and cam. Its a head turner for sure. I would not mind owning one.

Today I saw a Hilux Surf, really nice. Purple, in perfect condition. But it was left hand drive and had a small front chrome bumper like the regular 96-98's. Also it didn't have a rear tire carrier like most do, the spare would have been underneath. Basically it looked just like a regular 98 with nothing special to it except a spoiler. Flares looked like the 2000ish wide sport flares. Manual transmission, sounded like gasoline engine. It was pissing rain so hard to hear it well. The rear bezel said Hilux Surf. So where was this from [MENTION=10169]TheDurk[/MENTION], South America?

If the badge said Surf, it was not SA. Those were badged HiLux SW4. Euro, maybe?

Have you seen any of the Holden Maloos running around Denver? I saw a couple of them on Washington down near Toytec a while back from that Lefthand Utes operation.
