My Runner got the Royal Purple treatment today. was gonna tint my light but alas Utah has a no-tinted-lights law which sucks but all well.

And priced out some tires for my lift going in next week:

Procomp 7069 16x8 matte black wheels wrapped with 285/75r16 in a Duratrac flavor:

Slowly with a lot of meticulous detail work. Close to 3/4 done with 1st headlight. At this rate I'll have it all done by beginning to mid March. Some days I wish I would have just gone with the MMH1's for sake of ease, but I think I'll be happy when it's finally done.

I'll trade you...haha I can't wait to see the finished product.

Well it was yesterday but I challenged my boss that has a 4 1/2 inch lift (I think) on his Jeep against my stock T4R to snow pile climbing contest......I won. He actually got stuck. Sunk down and I pulled him out then continued to plow through the snow bank. Almost made me buy an OME lift right there. Thought of the fun with no lift, imagine how much more fun with the lift. I think the Boss's armor made him sink faster than me though.

I pulled the heads because of a head gasket out. #5 cylinder 225k and first time they have been done.

Just a little cosmetic work today. I cut off the mud flap section of the rear limited flare.

Bought her a set of Vessel JIS screwdrivers. No more stripped screws for me!

Finished deadening the floor

Wired up my new Polk 5 channel amp, new cobra 75 connector box, and aux fuse/relay board under the driver seat

Solved my no reverse lights problem. Evidently the P.O. thought that wire nuts are acceptable. I do not, so I replaced them with solder and heat shrink wrap.

Got her back and running.

New t belt, water pump, t stat, new radiator, and flush.

All seals looked good and hope they stay that way until the next t belt

Today:
* washed her
* took apart my projector headlight set and fixed the angel eye that was out of alignment. Will post pics once I put the lights back in.
* put blue painters tape around my sunroof. I don't know how else to stop it from leaking during the rainy months.
* ordered an Alpine MRX-M55 mono block amp (550W RMS @ 90 db s/n). Next paycheck I will get the sub to pair it with, a single Type-R 10" to compliment my Kappas

Installed wheelers super soft 2nd gen Tacoma bump stops on my 3rd gen. Icons + super bumps equals awesome.

Tested them at ocotillo wells.

After very long search found "the slot" at ocotillo wells. You can actually drive up the canyon until your truck won't fit anymore. Then you have to get out and walk. It gets so tight and so deep in the mountain that you can't see daylight.

Why do it?

The stock bump stops are hard as concrete. The Superbump stops have the same compressed size as the stock bump stops but they are more progressive in nature. I can't even tell that they are there. Except for the fact I don't run sway bars front or rear and I feel the front is more stable now. I can also basically jump my truck in the air it's a nice soft landing. It provides the suspension with a bottomless feel.
